High Wing Backorders?

My car arrived at the dealer on 1/27, no high wing yet. My neighbor is the GM of the dealer, so he keeps me in the loop constantly with his conversations with the territory managers. The supplier is having a hell of a time getting the parts to GM, thus the long delays. However, he said that if you're name is tied to an allocation for the high wing, you will get it, just no timetable as to how long it will take. Just waiting on that final piece!!!
Are you just leaving it dealer as you wait? Heard it could take weeks...
What about your center cap, its gray..... you happy with it? I like the all black.....got the same wheels. I was hoping the center caps be all black.

I ordered with high wing but my dealer called to let me know that it was on constraint and I decided to re-submit without the wing. At status 3000 for past couple weeks now. Have an RPI high wing on the way and will DIY it. ( I am pretty comfortable with it.)

FWIW, was told mine was constrained two weeks before my build. Like my 5VM aero that was constrained months prior and I bought before my car arrived from C7 Carbon, planned to buy my high wing from them and install myself (as I did the 5VM.)
Made a draft PDF as planned to take many pics and make a final when I finished to go with the other 50+ I have posted. This is the Draft with pics made from the best of many video's on subject: netwelding.com/C8_High_Wing.pdf
Biggest issue from forum posts of dealer installs is getting bumper gaps correct on reinstall. Too many bolts to leave lose and tighten after adjusting. PDF includes GM warning about removing Z51 wing double sided tape under two bolted stands.
When my C7 Z51 arrived wife and I thought the low wing looked best on our LBR with Natural Dipped interior. The "Boy Racer" high wing didn't fit the combo. IMO looks good with certain colors and combos
