If you agree it's no big deal then why create the post?
Question really is why does my post bother you? If you don’t like what I post simply don’t view my threads. No sense getting your panties in a twist life is too short just move on to something else.
I Just look at number of posts/year to see who ACTUALLY craves attention. This is so blatantly obvious in a RV forum I no longer subscribe to. The only reason mine is so "high" was once upon a time - the SS. To paraphrase, I feel the need for speed, "I don't feel the need to post."
Posts should be an add to the discussion, not commenting on member posts. There are other threads and forums to do just that.
To keep it on topic and not violate what I just posted, anything you make available on the web, feel certain it will be there forever and used by others one way or another. If you do not want it so, do not put it there. That is your only option.

That is what I was thinking. I know with certain publications, if you submit a photo, or article, or letter, it becomes the property of the publication. You are not supposed to submit it to other different publications. I looked for something similar in the forum rules but it did not jump out. But, the forum is a private for profit entity, and a big part of the forum is for the vendors. So, its not surprising that vendor will use photos submitted by forum members. I have also noticed that a post can become the subject of a forum news article - also without the poster's permission.

That's your opinion and that's pretty much what forums are for is sharing opinions.
Personally, my post count is high for the most part, because I've been a member of the Corvette community for 47 years (owned 42 Corvettes) and have received a GREAT amount of enjoyment and have learned quite a bit from others on the subject over these years.
I post here primarily to share information and help other Corvette owners and potential owners anyway I can. Kinda a 'give-back' of sorts.
That's why I don't mind vendors using my photos, as long as it benefits Corvette owners and enthusiasts.

Granted, share opinions on subject matter of the thread.
Not opinions on members!
Unless - LOL.
