Another believer here. Purchased back during the memorial day sale even though I didn't take delivery until late August. Hit 500 miles last week, installed this morning and went for a drive, and oh, baby!

So, how many people here have attempted to install this without removing the gas pedal? I've seen mention of doing it that way by some members and there are even a couple of videos on YouTube that make it look easy, but I'm wondering if it really is. I would prefer to do it that way if possible, but just not sure if I buy that you can do it by feel. Mine will be here Wednesday so I guess I'll find out.

It's only one bolt holding the pedal assembly in. Removing it gives you easy access to the plug and wire harness so you're able to neatly tuck it all underneath the carpet.

Good idea using weather mode at dealer. Did you warn them so they wouldn't think there was something wrong with your car? I'm also curious to know what setting people are settling on for daily driving. I am on Comfort 7. That to me is enough to wake it up without feeling artificial. I tried AI for a while Always felt like I needed to pay more attention to my throttle inputs than I wanted.

It's more trouble to fight with the pedal than to remove it. See here --> https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...tall-tips.html

I've installed several of them. I think it would be far more difficult to access the connector with the gas pedal in place than it is to remove and reinstall the gas pedal. That takes all of a minute each way.

I just set it back to OEM for the dealer. Weather mode wouldn't prevent the dealer from ragging on the car is they really want to. Pedal to the metal it's still 100% throttle. And as you say, they might think something is wrong with your car.

I'm on Sport 4. But part of the beauty of the Soler is that everyone can adjust it as they like.

Just got my Soler Throttle Controller in the mail today, but it's too late to get it installed this evening so I'm going to wait until tomorrow. I noticed in the instruction manual it mentions some cars may see a CEL upon first start. Has anyone here experienced that when they get the controller installed?

Default No CEL

I pretty much followed the instructions to leave the floor open and get the key fob away from the car for 10 or so minutes. No CEL for me after the installation. Remember to put the seat all the way back so you have room to work. It's really easy to remove the gas pedal and I recommend doing so. Lots of information on this forum.

Yeah, I'm gonna back it out of the garage, take the key fob inside far away from the car and leave it open for about 15 min. just to be safe. Hopefully after doing all of that there won't be any issues or a CEL thrown. I've watched enough videos by now that the actual install of the plugs looks pretty easy. Anxious to check it out when done.

Also, as a worrier, I bought a spare 10mm nut driver for
$7.99 on Amazon $7.99 on Amazon
and tossed it in my frunk goodie bag, in the rare case it ever fails on the road.

Follow the instructions for the 10 minute wait and you'll have no issue.

What I did was open the door, move the key far away, and then removed the bolt / gas pedal to be efficient while waiting. That took barely a minute, and then I just about disconnected the connector, LOL. Don't do that

The whole install took less than 15 minutes - including waiting, wire tying with cable ties, stuffing everything behind the carpet, routing the display cable to the top of the back of the carpet, and pairing to the phone.

My thoughts on it are mixed... I have mine set to Sport 2. Anything more is just super radical. I do actually like to have a bit more adjustment via travel distance with the throttle. I did set it to valet mode when I had some PPF touched up and then forgot about it when I picked it up. WOW, that is limiting! You should try it just for fun

GL!

I did a lot of reading/researching before buying and it seems like most people find the "sweet spot" to be somewhere in the Sport 4-6 range so I'm gonna start at 2 and then work my way up from there to see what feels the best.

I started in sport 4 and ended up in sport 6.

Took car in recently for a warranty repair and set it to OEM. When i picked it up the next day i forgot to put it back to sport 6. it didn’t take long for me to ask myself what was wrong with my car. then it hit me…OEM mode was on.
