This is what Spring Mountain told you in your post from last year:

"As far as extensions, it depends on the circumstances. We do not guarantee everyone will be approved..
hope this helps!
Cheers!"

I had to ask for an extension due to some health issues - I had a knee replacement in October 2022. I couldn't even get in the car for months. When the extension was granted last summer I told them I would call back in December because I would have a better idea when I would be able to get in and out of the car all day. When I called back in December they told my that my extension was only good through February 2023 and they were booked! I had no idea that my extension was only good through February so I can understand your frustration. I found out that GM has a third party that makes the decisions about extensions and asked the person at Spring Mountain to talk to the third party, send them my doctor's note, and tell them that new knee recipients don't recover that fast. I got an extension and will be there in June 2023 but I had a serious medical issue that couldn't be helped. Good luck!

Here's my frustration...you have a year to book the class and take it, but if you want to book a class more than 2 months out you have to wait for them to "release" the dates. For example, I'm thinking of going in October but there are no dates open to book yet.

They have always been extremely friendly and helpful when I've called.

I notice no one has said this (being very tactful) and you'll just have to know I'm not trying to beat you up. This is a unique car in at least one respect: it's the only model that's been around for over 60 years as America's sports car. Their are many other cars that have a following especially several foreign cars.

Two things come to mind: you've been a CF member since Jan. '21. And as you can see, there is a wealth of info on these pages---every day. Indeed, "Fast Dawg" just highlighted one above that's particularly relevant to you!!! ""As far as extensions, it depends on the circumstances. We do not guarantee everyone will be approved..
hope this helps!
Cheers!" "

It was an important message, and practically directed at you, altho it was to Fast Dawg.

Next, thank you for putting in your town. If you didn't know before, here's another piece of info---you have one of the most Corvette-savvy new car dealers in your area: Van Bortel Chev in Macedon. If you don't think so, just ask area res, Dave, aka on CF "dvilin." As well as many others---just search for the threads on here using "Van Bortel" as the key words . So, your particular salesman being a dud in not telling you about Spring Mountain is terrible, but not all dealers are that way. And some very close by to you are really in the "best of the best" category. I'll bet that's a good thing for you to know in the future.

I realize this will take up a lot of your time, but think of it this way: isn't that what you're doing now trying to track down a solution to your problem for a Corvette? And this is the second time for you to be doing so. And it's not for a Mailbu. Or a Ford Fusion. Or a Camry.

Good luck with it.

GM has to approve the extension. She was correct (I went thru the same thing)

Hopefully you get a date! I almost forgot about my extension until my SM salesperson called me and 'reminded' me , luckily I was able to confirm dates and pull the trigger on the phone and got it done.
