That scan tool will NOT do the dct flush. I boughr the same tool, thinking that was the answer.....WRONG! After a few posts, I contacted Launch and they said that this tool would NOT perform that function. The one that would work is their model CRP919***. I don't remember the last 3 digits, but it's available on Amazon for about $1500.
This is the Launch model X431 CRP919E sold on Amazon currently for $465.00.
However, tech support from KINGBOLIN informed me that this model will only do HSF for the 2023 and 2024 C8 Corvettes.
Are the ECM's and TCM's different for Z06 and regular C8's?
They will be configured and/or programmed differently. But they may be the same hardware component (I do not know but if forced to guess I would say the same hardware). I suppose the device might work on 2023 Stingray.
For anyone interested in purchasing this tool, I just ordered one and it's 20% off for the next 3 hours only! On Amazon. I should receive it by Sunday!

I'd buy it if I thought it would perform the hydraulic system flush on my 2020.
It says it will on my 2020 (the command is there), though I haven’t tried it. Will doing a flush without changing the filter or fluid do anything harmful?

Some DCT repair procedures invoke the hydraulic system flush without changing the filter but I wouldn't do it unless I was planning on changing the filter soon afterwards.
It would be interesting to see if you can communicate with the ECU but I don't how far you get into the procedure until you are committed to doing the flush.

Would love to see a video of someone actually doing this procedure. Great that it’s available for us to tackle…..
I am willing to try it, but like RKCRLR stated i would also want to change filter afterwards. I will pick up DCT filter tomorrow and make video of HSF. I am going to be following DCT Flush PDF that Andybump posted a while back.

The flush procedure came out later when they had some parts with grit in them that required a flush. Pretty sure a 2020 has to have the TCM updated with programming to allow the flush to occur.
So, Strake, maybe I spoke too soon. Is that yellow Launch tool the tool you used for the flush? If so, Why did they tell me different? Hmmm.
I think you are pinging the wrong person........ for the DCT fluid and filter change that I performed, I did not do a flush. I was only required to do the fluid change, but I decided to change the filter too.

But if your dealer has performed the flush on a 2020 does that mean the TCM has been updated? Or is there a different set of commands for the earlier cars? Or did some of the TCM updates the dealer does (or OTA updates) include the ability to perform the HSF even if it hasn't been done? It would be nice to get to the bottom of this. We do know it can be done on 2020s using the OEM MDI tool.
Ended up buying DCT filter through Amazon. When it comes in I will perform HSF.
Gotta love Amazon with same day delivery.
OK guys, I got everything in hand. I already took off rear cradle shear plate just to speed things up for tomorrows video. I am going to drive car tomorrow to bring transmission up to temp (122 degrees) per PDF directions. Then I will start making video from point of plugging in Launch CRP919E scanner to OBDII port.
UNSUCCESSFUL guys. Took car out and got the trans up to 145 degrees. Plugged in OBDII as soon as I got back from drive. As I was making the video and started my car with my aftermarket exhaust is so loud you would not be able to hear me. The CRP919E didn't do ****. It had all the prompts that popped up, when conditions were met step by step, but car did not go to 2000 rpm's as stated in PDF. No change is sound or in gauges. I tried attempting HSF two times. Save your money on buying this unit until they come out with something reliable and tested.
