Great thread. Never heard of this before but it’s gonna be my first install. So if I read this correctly. I can install this but not have to mount the screen? I can use my phone and app to control it? I’d rather not have to mount anything like another screen on the dash. My car is TPW 29 Jan
That's how mine it set up. Did not install the screen, just use the BT app. I'm on ludicrous 2. The car flies when nearly hitting the accelerator! Also had it on my C7. Buying the soler throttle controller was the best money ever spent and will transform the driving experience.
Wait I am confused boys. So the display is just that? The brains are in the harness??? I was hoping to get a second harness for the Camaro and if I ever decided I wanted to use my TC from my C8 I could just unplug the display (USB-C) and connect to harness of other car and be good to go.
The "harness" includes the electronics. So you'd basically be buying two units anyway.
Mine shipped today. I'd like to say I'm anxiously awaiting for it to arrive, but it's more like I'm anxiously awaiting for this snow and 30 degrees weather to go away
I've had my Soler Controller for months now and, like almost everyone here, consider it to be one of the best mods I've purchased for my C8. Here's my question:
I saw on another thread that you can actually disable the throttle altogether. I've seen a "lock" setting in the manual but it doesn't appear on my phone app. Is it only on the physical screen control (which I don't have connected), or maybe not on the controller for the C8 at all?

It's there. Click/hit the three bars on the upper left of the app and go to settings. You'll see it.
I can't even see the throttle body on my HTC or I would try and swap out the throttle body also?
The C7's were easy to access and swap, not so sure about the C8?
BTW, I love the controller on my C8!
Are most just adding the controller or controller and throttle body? Any warranty issues if changing the throttle body? Thanks
We get a mixture of both it ultimately depends on what the customer is looking for. Both the TB and TC work great independently, but when paired together, they complement each other for maximum benefit and potential. In short, the OEM throttle body is only one part of the entire problem, and it is recommended that you try both the TB and TC to see the best results. If you are not satisfied, you can return both units or one of them for a full refund. You have nothing to lose. When it comes to warranties, our products don't mess with any warranties you may have on your vehicle.
I can speak for myself. I did the TC when I first got the car and honestly I wasn't really pleased. Perhaps part of it was I didn't know the car yet and the controller really changed it. I ended up selling. year later here we are. Last month I bought a new LT2 intake manifold and had it ported. At the same time, I had Soler port my tb. I mated all this to a K&N intake system and I love it. You can actually hear the intake suck air, the car is a lot more responsive and NO CEL. Besides intake system 99% of dealers would not even notice or bother. Last week I bought another TC and installed it. Yesterday I commuted to work. 35 miles 1.5hr each way in Cali chitty traffice. Car was perfect. If I got on it, it is now simply a different animal.
We've got them back in stock! You guys don't forget to use discount code: LL5%OFF when you order!
The code posted earlier in this thread is a larger discount. It would be nice if you provided the same $20 discount to the C8 folks as you did for the Mustang folks.
