Default Wait time

Approximately how long is the wait time once you make a deposit with one of the big dealers? I bought mine 2 years ago from Criswell and waited 14 months. Asking for a friend.

I think MM and Ciocca are down to no wait time outside of when is the next allocation round and then the time to get it built if your order isn’t effected by constraints.

MM has 100+ SR’s without customers.

I ordered my C8 at Ciocca on 12/15. Went to 2000 (accepted by GM) on 1/29. Went to 3000 (vehicle produced) on 2/28. Vehicle went to 5000 (arrived at dealership) on 3/14 and went to 6000 ( picked up) on 3/18. All told 3 months and 3 days from original order to possession of vehicle.

Likewise, Criswell 14 months. That was ordered in early 2022.
It's a whole different ball game today. You can expect to find an allocation soon.
The waiting game is over.

Most dealers have no wait times on Stingray right now. Six to Eight weeks from status 3000 to delivery is typical.

Picked mine up from Criswell back in February... I think I was closing in on 24 months from deposit.

Too many variables to make a guess, Stingray, Z06, Eray, number on dealer's list, etc, etc, etc...

I went in to talk to the dealer about ordering one. We went through the configurator together and I got an order details sheet. Current Event 500. He never asked for a deposit. Should I be concerned?

If you google C8 Corvette order status codes, most sites don't eve show 500. Yes, I would be worried.
  • 0500 (DEFINITION OF THIS STATUS IS CURRENTLY UNKNOWN)
  • 1000 ORDER ON HOLDER AT DEALERSHIP
  • 1100 ORDER PLACED AT DEALERSHIP / PRELIMINARY ORDER ACCEPTED
  • 1101 ORDER ENTERED INTO THE SYSTEM
  • 1102 ORDER ENTERED VIA WEB
  • 2000 ORDER ACCEPTED BY GM

You don't have an order or allocation yet, just your configuration in the system. 2000 status is when you have an allocation and order input. 3000 is when your order is accepted with no constraints. You should pin the dealer down on allocation wait time.

Default The key is having an allocation

January allocations were released on Jan 25th for orders going in Jan 31st, including my order.

My car was built 19 days later on Feb 19th, then delivered Feb 26th.

Once you hit 3400 status, you should have a VIN and can track what day it will be built.

Daily production schedules are posted on Facebook on the CorvetteOwners page.

Don’t rely on GM emails which are sporadic at best.

I ordered my car on February 29th, and the car was built on April, 3rd - 34 days! If you know what you’re doing and work with the right dealer, you’ll get your car quick, assuming it’s a Stingray. If you want a Z06 or ERay, you’ll have a much longer wait. PM me if you want the inside scoop.

The wait time is not much longer than a Tahoe or Silverado right now at a dealer who sells a lot of Corvettes, maybe 8-12 weeks

Could not belive they were not taking orders for custom built C8s! Just checked. What the site states:
Sorry, this form is temporarily unavailable.

Same issue I have from time to time with my website! Issue with it NOT that they won't take orders!

I have bought a number from them and as all my 7 Vettes, ordered "Made Just For Me In BG."

Even my 2017 Grand Sport bought at their high discount "winter pricing" when they had ~250 new Vettes in Stock. Just called and got the same ~15% discounts they were offering for the same model in inventory.

Who wants a car with exterior/Interior color, wheels, power options etc some dealer sales manager purchased to sell with options "he thinks" you will like!

Always ordered just what I knew I wanted from my 1st Vette, a 1988, bought locally!
