Does anyone have the written instructions for the Soler TB. I realize there is an install video out there, but there are too many distant shots for me to understand what he was doing. My email is marinecid@aol.com, it you would be so kind as to forward. Thanks in advance, Tony
Easy DIY job that you can complete in under 2 hours your first time working solo. I'm pretty sure I posted my install guide somewhere so let me see if I can find it...

2 hours. No way Jose. More Like 20 minutes including the 10 minute wait time for electric systems to shut down.
Was the boost in power worth the cost/effort?
After the throttle controller, I have been thinking about the TB.
Yes, very glad I installed the Soler ported TB on both my C7 and again on my C8. Does a nice job waking the car up off idle with more overall flow throughout the throttle curve. I paired it with a ported intake manifold from SoCal Porting on both the C7 & C8. All the OEM gaskets and bolts are reusable. I do suggest blue Loctite on the bolts during reassembly.

Can’t speak for the C8, but I have the Soler throttle body on my C7 (as well as the throttle controller) and the car is noticeably more responsive than it was stock. No regrets making the purchase.
ok, need some help!!!!!! There are two wire harness clips on the back of the air filter box. How do you disconnect them from the box. Sorry for the quality of the pic! I am talking about the round clip that is in the center of the pic. I have everything else disconnected but these two dam wire harness clips. Thanks
You're going from the wrong way... MUCH easier to remove the intake manifold and throttle body as a single unit, vs. trying to go in through the back and removing the airbox (unless you're also taking the opportunity to install an aftermarket intake system).
Regardless, for that clip, you need a pry tool to get under/around it and pop it out of the hole. Plastic ones typically flex too much for that harness so metal is preferable (although I was able to get it out with my plastic one).
The instructions are limited to removing and installing the TB and not all the stuff that is around it. I spend the better part of 2 hours just removing the bolts, electrical connectors, and wiring harnesses. Two of the bolts for the air box on the engine side are nearly impossible to get to and a pain in the axx to remove. There are 6 plastic wiring harnesses that secure the wiring to the air box. 4 on the bottom, front and back and 2 midway up the back of the box "that I haven't removed yet" The 4 on the bottom, I just cut off, because they are impossible to pull out with a trim tool. I will replace them with zip ties, when I put box back together. Once I get those final two harnesses off, the air box will be free "fingers crossed" I am hoping the removal of the TB and install the Soler, will go faster, because it is only 4 bolts. But I am not holding my breath! If I would have known the air box was a complete pain to remove, I probably would not have done the upgrade. The parts inside the trunk are easy and took about 15 minutes to remove with 15 mm Torx bit and a 10 mm rachet wrench. I am actually considering creating a "how to" document, so others know what the hexx they are getting into.
The entire job start to finish can easily be done in under 2 hours with far less effort if you do it from the top rather than the rear. I've done my C8, along with two other local C8s. The only reason to go about it your way is if you're also installing an aftermarket intake system and/or sport cats at the same time.

1000% agree, I took off the intake manifold which is 100 times easier than removing the airbox and associated connections.......

I did the Soler TC first and of course noticed a huge difference (was already a fan on previous cars so I knew this was the bigger upgrade). I then got the TB. It's great, extremely smooth and great response, but honestly I can't say it's really that much better than the stock TB. I wouldn't get the TB if I was gonna do it over again, but I left it on since I took the time to do it. Again, it works great and I am a believer in flow science so I feel better that I am putting better air flow into the intake manifold.
Now that the airbox is out! What a pain in the butt. The removal of the OEM TB, install of the Soler TB, took all of 10 minutes. This morning I reinstalled the airbox, reconnected the electrical components and reattached the wiring harnesses, all in less than 1 hour. It went back in a heck of alot smoother than it did coming out, maybe the learning curve helped! I figured while I had the airbox out, I would change out the filter to the blue attack one. Waiting for that to arrive and I will button it all back up, once that gets here.
Would I do this again........not from trunk direction! Maybe taking it out via the intake manifold is quicker and easier, as stated by others.
LOL Yes sir you went about that job all wrong. I do that all the damn time. You might of had my same thoughts. "I would rather remove and reinstall air intake before intake manifold". When I did mine, I did just like @Kracka and I pulled off my intake manifold and sent it to socal. Actually I had soler send them my new ported tb as well and socal port matched them together. I am very pleased. I actually ended up putting on a K&N full intake as well. I also have a nitrous plate witch is about 1" think, talk about a pain trying to get everything. You will love the tb. It might not feel like much but for me it just feels like she breathes better. Enjoy!!!!
