I just tested it today on my 2021. It still works. I had to follow it exactly - including not omitting the bolded step to hit the far left buttoin which brings up the rear view. And it does switch to front view when I start to drive. That will stay up, or I can switch back to the rear view after that if I want to. Since I have an HTC, the rear view camera mirror is disabled with the top down. Using the rear parking camera provides an additional view that may be helpful in certain cases - but its very deceptive in terms of distance (the camera mirror is too though).

Here is the procedure again. As noted you can leave it the front view if you want. I did not find that view very helpful:

"Start car and put it in drive. Hit the front camera button. Once the image comes up hit the far left rear camera icon. When you start to drive it will likely switch back to front camera. If it does just hit the far left rear camera icon and you will have a constant view of the rear camera while driving at any speed."

Thanks, good to know.
While pulling into the garage I used the front camera to see how close i could get to a piece of wood i put down on the floor (right side of car). It looked like I was nearly a foot from the wood but I actually rubbed it. So the camera is not too accurate for side measurements. I may not be able to use it the way I need to. I'll test it more next weekend.

If you pull forward toward toward a wall, its possible for the point in front of the frunk lid to contact something while the camera makes it appear that you have room. The camera is below that point. I find its useful mainly for know where a raised curb is when parking. But not quite so much when parking behind a car or other obstacles.

Exactly! Best not to be too precise. I guess the picture you see is somewhat computer generated.
