I see good use of fake quarter windows coming up in aftermarket. Or maybe factory. Like cold air intake or intercoolers.
The C8 already has a cold air intake for the engine within the side scoops/vents on the rear quarter panel (left and right).
I suspect that the quarter window that has been highlighted covers up part of the rear aluminum structure, that is one part of the car that you probably don't want to mess with IMHO. There might a bit of space behind that structure but probably not that much IMHO.
Will wait to see, but when I leave the street I live on, I merge onto a 4 lane divided highway but with a relatively narrow divider.
This time of year lots of traffic going to and coming from Myrtle Beach. Often have to cross two lanes in a traffic opening and park at an angle in an opening in the divider with my C7. Where with my C6 and the wife’s SUV I stopped at a 45 +/- 10 degree angle and could (can) watch for a break in traffic. With the C7 it’s 30 degrees not much room for error and look through that small rear side window. Have learned after 5 years to get it dead-on for a sufficient view.
Can’t just pull across as the narrow grass divider would have one end or the other too close to moving traffic. We’ll see.
May have to make a “drift car move” and stop parallel with the road and use the rear “camera mirror!”

Jerry, sounds as if it's time to migrate south. I'd offer to let you homestead on part of my acreage, however I did promise it to Santa Anna. That is if he is able to sneak across the Rio Grande without getting caught by ICE again and deported as an undesirable. Same thing happened to my ex wife. ............
^^
We're far enough South! We actually get an inch or so of Snow every 2 or 3 years!
Was just in a tech meeting in Pasadena TX (Houston.) Could have any vehicle in Section 3, I was told by the Rent-a-Car gal. Only thing left in Section 3 was a Toyota Pick-Up! Felt like a Texan for 3 days! Actually I miss my S-10! Don't often take the Interstate now as forced to stay under 7 over the limit (detector seldom went off when I drove the truck) and 18 wheeler tire treads are all over the highway. Pick-ups and SUV's go right over them and I am playing autocross to avoid replacing my carbon fiber splitter!
Actually the highway in front of the only exit/entrance to where I live is fun. You may have seen my "justification" for getting a C8 with all those folks who say "how often does anyone use 0 to 60?" This time of year, in my case, often! Same issue with parking at an angle but when there is a gap in traffic it's fun acceleration from a stop to merge into 65 to 70 mph traffic then a 1+ "g" stop to turn into our 25 mph speed limit street!

I hear you. I love the paved back roads around here. They are a riot to drive. Many have off camber curves that come out of nowhere. One must really have their "poop in a group !" The bigger issue is from the livestock and feral hogs that get out on the road. They will really do a number on the car. Seems this feral hog got into the magic mushrooms first.
