afm

How would someone go about disconnecting the automatic fuel management system on the c8.Scott Kilmer on the utube said it will cause engine problems eventually.

I didnt know about this. After watching the following video the system seems to be garbage from an engineering standpoint. Looks like it doesnt take much to cause mechanical lifter damage and failure.

The afm has caused issue going back to LS engines. They've gotten better but still a **** system we are all stuck with. At least the LT1 and LT4 can be deleted through a cam and lifter change and or just deactivated with tuning or plug in modules. Hopefully the LT2 will be afforded the same down the road.

Hopefully Range will come out with one for the C8. I've got it on my C7 and it works great.

yea, I hope so. I tried the latest range on my C8, did not work

Well, I've probably got about a year before mine is delivered so maybe they'll have it by then.

OHHH... Let's Hope not... I did get a tracking number from Fabspeed today, so hopefully my fix is on the way, it won't get rid of the damn AFM, but it might at least get rid of the engine light!
