It doesn't appear to me (or a quick Google search) that these tires are directional. Can anyone confirm that? Anyone swap the left and right tires occasionally to 'rotate' them?
Not directional but can rotate right to left side only. Front and rear tires are different sizes.
Yep, that's exactly what I was planning. Just surprised that no one seems to discuss/mention it. I'd have to think it would yield a little improvement in tire life...
Even unidirectional tires can be rotated as long as there is no rain.
I used to run 1/2 day at MSR Cresson and then flip the tires side to side to even out the wear. I did not bother to flip the tires back until after I got home (180 miles).
If you rotate side to side the outside will still be on the outside, but it will rotate the opposite direction. So if the tread is not directional, then no issue.
Yep as with the C7 that said OUTSIDE they can be swapped side to side. That means they are asymmetrical with the outside and inside tread different (usually width and can be tread compound and side wall reinforcement.
There are tires that are asymmetrical and directional. They usually also have an arrow AND some say Left or Right and Outside as they can only be used on that side of the car. Have had those and they cannot be swapped side to side.
Page 260 of the Owner's Manual states: Tire Rotation The tires should be rotated every 12 000 km (7,500 mi).
