I wonder if this could be connected to the "add 2 qts. if going to the track". Not enough factory fill even for the street?
That crossed my mind also last night. When mine is delivered I’m going to have that done before I leave. They need to check the sight bolt on the side and make sure that’s level then put the extra 2 quarts. Just a piece of mind while using break in procedures. Knowing my self I’ll change all fluids well before the recommended intervals.
Oh Oh my new Coupe is doing the same thing as well. It’s fine on the road but when driving slow like through a parking lot it really jerks and bucks. I was told it has to go through a learning cycle and may have to be re programmed. I also threw an engine code at 250 miles on the clock said it was a drive train issue.
Finally got my car back from Delillo Chevy in Huntington Beach. Car had 60 miles more on it and was filthy. I guess the good news is the transmission works..... for now

Did you really want the dealer to wash your car? I think they did you a favor. I explicitly instructed them not to wash the car when it came off the delivery truck.

Some of these vettes are well over $100K but you still get chevrolet service. Join a club and learn to do your own service when the warranty is up. You will be much happier.
Hope this isn’t the start of a new transmission saga. Looks like my decision to wait until the third production year is a good one given I was never a fan of being an early adopter.
same
learned lesson on 07 silverado & paying attention to gen2 raptors made me avoid the 2017/early 2018 models- in a new 2020 raptor now after owning a late 2018 for 40k miles & can tell how much they tackled the little issues from beginning to end of production cycle
never, ever, ever ever be the guinea pig for a new niche/hobby/luxury/expensive type vehicle unless you’re just dumb w/ $$$ & wasted time & like burning both of em, or maybe unless you’re into S&M
Just took delivery of my Rapid Blue C8 last Thursday, 6 miles. I drove it to my house 2 miles and the shifting was BAD! CEL came on, took it to the local dealer and they confirmed the code, reset, drove around their lot and it threw the same code. Now with 8 miles the car is at the dealer. I am told GM has determine the DCT needs to be replace. No firm date but should expect 3-4 weeks. Not a good start to my mid engine experience.
My 2021 was delivered with 2 miles on it this past Tuesday, and it's sitting @ the dealership right now, without me even taking delivery, with an Engine and Transmission System warning/code, which the Tech cannot correct with a reflash, which wasupposed to solve the problem. Now we're waiting for a GM Engineer to arrive Monday, to investigate/diagnose and correct the problem. This after the PDI found a brake line leak on rear wheel due to a defective banjo bolt, which had to be replaced with a new bolt that was shipped overnight to the dealership. Not a very good start for me and my 2021 HTC........ I sure hope I don't hear that the transmission needs replacement. Not sure how I'd feel about that on a new car that I've not yet signed for or paid for....

Seems I have a neighbor in Newport Beach with the same problem. I experienced some "hunting" with the trans on my new C8 convertible. Not bad at all. I looked it up, and was convinced that it was just part of the engine and trans "learning" process. But then I got an email and iPhone message that a serious problem was detected with either the engine or transmission, and to bring it in immediately. The dealer told me that he's had 8 or 9 now with this same problem. He further said that often the problem was fixed with reprogramming that cannot be done over the air. I also had a leak with the front lift system, which he said there was a recall for. And also said there was a recall for the infotainment system, with which I've had a lot of funnies. SD card not installed message, no nav. Then after an update, all was well with the nav, but on startup a different XM from when it was shut down plays. Long story not so short, the dealer called yesterday and said the transmission displayed 4 different fault codes, and GM said to replace it. It will take 2-3 weeks for shipping then 2-3 days to install. I waited a year and a half from the time I ordered it. And in 6 months have only driven it 765 miles.
So sorry for you… that is no way to have a new car delivered! Hoping that once things are addressed, you will be over the moon, as I am with my HTC C8!!!

Just saw the most recent postings. I am the owner who started this tread on the failed DCT on my 2020 Rapid Blue coupe at 8 miles. GM replaced the DCT, and we added the 2 additional quarts of fluid. That was January, and the car has run flawless since, now 4400 miles. It has all worked out but it did take over a month to get it all taken care of.

Glad to know it worked out. I'm glad that neither of my Corvettes are daily drivers. Or I'd be in a jam. I'll be interested to see if the service folks advise over-filling the trans after it's replaced.
