following. I have the same question about Wilson and GPI. Wilson is also substantially more. how are they different? Is there a core exchange as I did not see one.

I believe it’s 558 for GPI and 625 for Wilson so not a huge difference

Yes the website is a little confusing when selecting a package. Maybe ArizonaZ06 could elaborate more on this. I'm interested as well. part # or a shopping cart pic of what's Inc.

On GPI went with the contained LT2 Intake Manifold Package $638 (12697714) which is a new Manifold with the contained ported 95mm Throttle Body Matching.

Suppose GPI would possibly do some sort of core manifold swap out but didn't inquired.

Per my long conversation with GPI the $638 is for a the mainfold ported to 95 but DOESNOT come with the TB so he say if you are going with a TB that is stock or stock ported to 91 or so then you don’t need the other charge for the 95

Received my 95mm tb and ported intake this past week they shaved some of the bottom of the intake and installed a port fitting in the back corner as well. pretty sure i didn't order it to have a port/ bung... did yours come with that ? if it's not supposed to have the bung hole wonder if i can plug it. there site now shows they are on back order.
thanks

I want to believe that bolt on after market parts generate actual performance improvement but are there any actual HP gains or is this just another rabbit hole? Without proof, Im of the school that the manufacturer would pretty much do all they can within reason to get better numbers for sales and well bragging rights. Has the speed limit gone up?

I know gear heads that belive every part gets x% improvement, but in reality you don't get 10% for this and 5% for that and 10% for that - well thats a 25% increase in HP If this were true, then you just got your C8 up to 600HP (+ or -) or is it all about aftermarket sales & dreams? ...

be safe out there...

They gave you a manifold for the SS Camaro, those guys are buying the LT2 intake like hot cakes because its half the price of a MSD. The bung in the back is for the brake booster and def needs to be plugged in your case. The shaved bottom won't hurt anything.

They have this silly little tool called a dyno that can measure gains and some peeps call that proof....others say timeslips are proof, not exactly sure which one you are looking for.

No doubt their are some snake oil products out there and you have to do some research before you buy. I have always been taught that nickels add up to dimes and dimes to quarters etc. and the C8 is no exception in regards to the aftermarket, yes GM has done a great job putting out a powerful and efficient product but their is still room for improvement imo. I saw approx 15hp from the ported combo on the dyno as stated earlier in this thread.

I am one of those so called gearheads and went down the bolt on rabbit hole, my efforts have netted 500whp on a dyno and a best e.t. of 10.52 and best mph was 129.85...naturally aspirated. I'm not done, more to come.
