So just to be clear, some of you are running 95mm throttle bodies with matching port matched intakes? No issues? No cel’s? I’m ready to order!

I'm confused. You have a ported 100mm throttle body for the c8 that requires a tune... but the c8 can't be tuned yet. So what's the point in using it?

You can for instance use a CAI and a larger TB, they will run fine, but to optimize them you'd need to tune. This TB is the same for the C7 and the C8, for the C7 we have tuning available, for the C8 we'd have to wait. For the C8 it comes to doing as much as we can without tuning for now.

The C8 runs in closed loop almost all the time, including full throttle. My understanding it is open loop at start up and limp home. As such unless the reading through the MAF sensor is accurate, it should adjust to targeted AF ratio until it runs out of injector. I suppose it is possible that sensors could go out of range, but a properly running car should not do that within injector range.

Now something like NO2 could screw it up.

Thanks Mike for your work and guidance matching up your Soler 95mm throttle body to my previously ported 95mm manifold. Smooth install last week with no codes, car runs very strong and also really like your multi-level Soler throttle controller, great combo.

I can add that the 95mm TB is an easy install and a great fit!!! Once installed the car runs strong.

Yes, at this point we have seen so many C8's running with our Modified 95 (direct fit to ported 95mm manifolds or with custom sized Adpters) that we have no doubt they run great without tune, and no codes. That doesn't mean a tune can't be beneficial, but it has proven to be a viable Mod while we wait for the C8 ECM to be cracked.

Can you post a dyno chart showing the performance increase? i.e., a chart including a dyno pull for a completely stock C8 and a dyno pull for that same C8 with the ported throttle body and ported manifold.

We don't have one yet, but it is likely that there are some right here at the forum. We'll eventually get some from customers, and if they allow us, we'll gladly post them here. Many have shared how strong the car feels, but, yes, numbers will be nice.

Helpful advice if you are replacing/removing your throttle body on your C8

Going thru the trunk and removing the airbox is a pita and takes hours to do. You can remove the tb by removing it with the intake manifold as 1 unit...a dozen 10mm bolts and some clips for the IM, loosen the inlet tube clamp and and unplug the throttle body and Boom, 15 minutes later it's off.

The caveat is the 95mm tb, its opening is larger and you have to shoehorn the inlet tube over the mouth which I couldn't do the previous way. I had to go thru the trunk and push it on while it was bolted to the engine.

And if you have a HTC you have to go through both ways!!!

Does anyone know how much improvement the ported 100 mm and 95 mm throttle bodies provide over the ported 91 mm, assuming the manifold is match ported?

I'm not sure why folks continue to use an adapter for a larger throttle body. Just bottle necking at the intake manifold opening. Would either port match or just do a ported stock throttle body. I had a Soler ported stock throttle body on my 6th Gen ZL1. Didn't pick up any top end power (nor did I expect to) but low and part throttle felt more responsive. They were great to buy from as well.

@HeadTurner it looks like the 95mm includes the adapter so you should need nothing.

I shipped a new intake manifold core off to SoCal Porting today and plan to do the same with a new throttle body core to Soler this weekend. Stay tuned!

Everything ordered & cores shipped, including an AttackBlue air filter to go along with them for what should make for a very efficient intake system.
