I finally got the timer to work and the best I can seem to do is 3.0. I want sub 3’s!!!
My tires were breaking loose at start up and that could be the delay. I would love to see 3 seconds, Overall it is a very fast car and passenger will wet there pants LOL
I can do 2.6 - 2.8 all day long, but I live in Florida at sea level. The elevation you are at has a lot to do with the times you are able to achieve. I was just at the Spring Mountain class this last weekend and my best time was 3.4. Elevation as well as temperature play a big role with your times.
I haven’t raced at elevation, but have run in the summer which can be an equivalent DA swing of a mile high from winter and that’s approximately a 1/2 second difference in the 1/4. The 0-330’ time varies less than half that, I don’t see how there’s more than a .2-.3 second variance in 0-60mph which is mostly traction and mechanical gearing(which isn’t affected by altitude/DA). Driver weight, passenger weight and fuel load I believe could have just as much affect on the 0-60mph as the DA honestly.
Right or about 15hp in the case of the C8, which is around a .1 in the 1/4 mile for a low 11 second car. How much hp is needed to gain or loose a tenth in a short 0-60mph burst that only takes 3 seconds?
