AFM fuse
go through are pretty hard on mechanical devices… the exhaust valves, the special lifters, other mechanical do dads and thousands of lines of software for some fractional improvement in mpg…
I realize all this added complexity (and potential for future failure) is because of government mandates but as good as the C8 is… it would be so much better if the design was based purely on logic and performance, with reasonable mpg expectations… vs EPA mandates that have no measurable impact on the environment….
the only answer is a software based solution… AFM
is only there to satisfy the EPA and adds nothing to the ownership experience. Since AFM comes online sporadically obviously there would be no harm in leaving it off if we had that ability.
