I did reach him and we discussed my build. He has to check with GM about the spoiler aero delete option for the Z51 and adding the new low rear spoiler. The bad news is that this won't result in a GM submission UNTIL they have actual allocation numbers, according to Paul. So I could make in into October or still get pushed to November. Paul's goal is to be ready to go when the October allocation hits. I want the Z51 pkg for the extra cooling and braking plus the eLSD. The whole spoiler issue is a deal breaker for my wife. No deal if it looks like a race car!

Happy wife,happy life.
LOL. My wife isn't a car person, I'm getting Torch Red and she will never drive it. I like the smaller spoiler I'd like the extra cooling with the Z51, but not the summer tires I drive the car year round if there in no snow on the ground or forecast. And the summer tires are meant to be stored below 40F. The compound gets hard. And if they get to 20F you are too take 48 hours to warm them up. And I don't need the "Track Pads. I've seen a number of reports by guys who can drove a C8 at 10/10 on the track that the Z51 brake over heat easily and fade the Mag Ride can be unpredictable. . So I'm skipping the Z51.
From a article “Probably the [C8 Corvette’s] biggest shortcomings are the brakes, which we found that fade pretty easily under track conditions.” Kojima explains. “Another shortcoming is the magnet ride suspension, which works great on the street, but under track use, makes the car kind of inconsistent and leaves the driver kind of second-guessing what the computers are wanting to do.”
Holy Crap those brakes are $9-10k alone. I live in FL so the summer tires won't bother me but the message I'm getting from folks on the forum is you don't need the Z51 pkg unless your tracking and if your tracking, it's not enough! So you're not going to miss the heavy duty cooling or the eLSD for street driving? Brakes are easily swapped, or at least the pads can be for reasonable $$, but the other items can't be added once skipped.

Yes aren't those brakes great. And the shocks too.
Correct as ex racer, track day guy the Z51 isn't worth it. I'd take my car to a Prep shop, one who knows and races C8 and let them fix it. #1 it needs a racing seat and a 5-6 point harness. I just can't imagine doing those speeds in a seat belt. When **** happens you don't want to be using the steering wheel to hold you in place. Nothing like a tight harness to make you one with the car.
I told Dave that Ciocca is the best at getting his buyers cars, better that all the guy who beat their own chests, But Ciocca sucks at communication. Just SUCK. He needs a director of Communication. One guy, who understands customer Com.
One recant example. When I got my letter to approve my GM Workbench Order. They could have explained the status codes and told me the difference ways I can track them. Little things like that give the customer warm and fuzzys. And spending what we are on a plastic toy it would be nice to see some warm and fuzzys
Bought 3 cars from Ciocca including my C8, 2017 Grand Sport and my C6 (when they were Kerbeck.) They have been great! Now 79 and used a phone and called folks in my working career! No longer, can't even call daughter and never the Grand Children. Have to text. Recall read it's an "imposition" even for personal communications to use the phone! Yep have a part time Internet business and prefer email BUT today most prefer text messages! Cell phones are all many use. Also never had to call about what codes meant or my status- It's all on their website Dave updates!
Now in my case I did "bother Dave" for my 2008 C6 BUT Sam Kelley has been great for my last two cars. Most cases I use email and he's back in a few hours. Have had to call once or twice and left message he called back. But in today's World have to learn what's best! Just Sayn'
Had not used their site in about a year. Just checked for fun. It's still the same and order codes now up top! Good idea. Several 100 cars on order and statues follow! Note Current Event column. You can check every day BUT if at 1100, you have a long wait!
OEM or after market street pads are more the adequate for street use. You can't push a C8 that hard on the street. Guys think they drive fast/aggregative on the street but have no idea of what real fast is until they'd done some laps on a track.
