That Trifecta announcement is interesting. It doesn't say they've cracked anything. It says they've purchased a CT4-V to develop a tuning solution.
Maybe they'll figure it out. But at this point it looks like it's just hype.

That's great. But what about keeping the rest of the car happy? If what I've read is correct, you can't correctly sign the CAN messages without the original GM security keys. The rest of the car gets pissed and starts shutting things down. Cracking the ECM is only part of the equation on this platform.
