Default DYNO Numbers are in

Hey all have some recent numbers to share with the group on Monday’s Dynapack DYNO.

Mileage on my C8 is 10,600 and do run @ 93 octane by adding a few gallons of unleaded 100 to our local 91 octane.

Current performance HP/TQ mods added are:
Halltech Hornet Cold Air Intake
95mm Gwatney Manifold
95/100mm Soler LT5/ZR1 Throttle Body
Soler Throttle Controller
Fabspeed HJS 200 Cell Cats

RWHP 453.53
RWTQ 437.44

Good news, will receive tomorrow the Lingenfelter Performance Design Carbon Fiber pTR LT2 Intake Manifold w/Red Flange and will do a comparison DYNO after install late next week. Should match up well with the Halltech Hornet Cold Air Intake and the Soler 95/100mm LT5/ZR1 Throttle Body.

Nice, thank you for sharing! For comparison, what do stock C8s typically put down on this dyno? I'll get some dyno results posted as well once my build is complete later in March.

Pretty much the median stock range is 430-440 rhp and 406-412 lb-ft of torque to the wheels. Pretty good off the quoted crank power numbers and the loss is not bad at all. The nannies on the C8 have a mind of their own, we had disable the ABS and pull a fuse after not being able to get past 2cd gear. Something occurs when the computer senses the front wheel are not turning but the backs are. Looking forward to seeing your numbers in March.

Stock C8 Corvettes put out between 430 - 440 rwhp. Keep in mind, engine coolant temps, engine oil temps, ambient air, air intake temps and DCT oil temps all play a factor on HP readings.

Love it, the Soler TC (Supporting Vendor) is light years better compared to the Power Pedal I have in my 650i BMW. The Soler has 37 settings including OEM mode, have mine set at SP-5 and it is perfect, quarter throttle is like 80%. There is a Ludacris mode that goes to 1 thru 9, haven't even tried it, the SP-5 is plenty responsive.

Yes. The first pull my oil temp hit 210 with the tech only putting on shop fan directly in the middle of the front nose. Had him get another fan and place both fans directly on the front corners where the radiator are located. Oil temp when down quickly to 178 for the next pull.

No Joe it did not Dyno like in the 430'ish range, actually it was above that.

Closest I was allowed during your Dyno was 100 feet away and I'm pretty sure the tech when after moving to Track mode didn't disable Traction Control and ESC (electronic stability control) which as the owners manual states allows for maximum power called Competitive Driving Mode. Way overly C8 complicated I agree.

The Dyno posted I was allowed to help the tech with the key strokes to obtain maximum power. We also did a Dyno with the nannies on and rwhp was less

I've done lots of C8's, it's very easy to dyno them. You turn off traction control, drive the car for a few until everything goes on dash and hit it. I've done it in every mode and they make the same power in every mode, you can scan it and watch timing is the same, fueling is the same, cam position, throttle postion, etc.

For those curious what it made on my dynojet. Those are the two best runs vs a typical stock NPP, Z51 C8. I've had some dyno slightly less, and some dyno as high as 438. This was the most middle of the road one I could find.

So it made 440/426 one pull, and 442/427 another. compared to the average stock C8 of 429/410

Those are solid numbers.

What do you think contributed to the loss of HP/Torque on the 3rd run?

Tuning question: I have HPtuners MVP1 Pro, can I use that to read and data log the C8 Tune? Or do I need to upgrade to MVP2 to read and data log. Sorry, no Scan and Tune Forum for the C8.

I said the 3rd run was comparing an average stock C8 on our dyno. You can use HP tuners scanner to log the car and you click poll for supported parameters.

Thanks for sharing. Solid gains for sure.

I'm planning similar set up minus the cats, but considering cat-back exhaust.

One of my favorite mods. Fabspeed HJS German 200 Cells with military grade Kevlar blankets, the sound really matches up perfectly with the stock NPP, plus you get the added hp/tq, weight savings and they flow at 92%. Soul also carries them.
