How do you clear this code? The brakes overheated at the track. What OBD device do I need. The car is in safety mode and is limited to 43 MPH. The local dealership will not look at car till Monday. I’m 300 miles from home. Thanks
Not an identical situation but worth a try - To reset the brake warning, with foot off the brake pedal, push the start button and hold it in for 30 seconds or so. This effectively turns on all electrical systems without running the motor. Keeping the start button pressed, push down hard on the brake pedal and keep it down until the clicking stops. Above is the procedure I followed when I tripped brake warning after replacing the pads.
I tried it , but didn’t correct the problem. After clicking stopped the display still read service ESC and BRAKE FAILURE 43MPH Max speed. I started the car a couple times afterwards, but no luck. Thanks for the idea!

I was able to clear the codes by turning on accessories without engine and holding down brake petal. You do not hold the start button.
I took it to the dealership Monday and they did not know what caused the Brake System Failure, Service ESC or Service Brake Assist
They suggested a brake bleed for $1200 and to replace the worn parking brake pads for $750. They had no idea why the parking brake pads would be 2/3 worn with 3000 miles on the car.
$1200 Brake Bleed!!!
My GM Dealer charges me 1 hour labor to bleed the brakes when I supply the RBF 600 brake fluid for the track.
