Id worry about that too.

If they'll warranty the cats you could always try it i guess.

Worse case then youd have to go testpipe or oem if they fail.

I think I will just stick with my ceramic coating since I am having absolutely no heat related issues, and if anything the engine bay is staying cooler than it did stock.

Let us know what IAT temp differential you're seeing next time out with the shielded Halltech.

Kracka, I haven’t took pics yet. I’ve been so amazing busy this last week, which is very unusual. But I’ll try this week. Everything should be back to normal for me. But I’ll report all updates. Plus I have to add my passenger side race seat this weekend also. But have to take the wife out first. We need a couple weekend get aways very soon. Lol. Then this last track weekend my rear camera went out again. Both times were at the track so like to find out the weak link there. They just ended up just changing out the whole rear harness last time. I need to find out if that’s a heat issue or not. There doesn’t seem to be any harnesses going to the rear of the car around the exhaust area but who knows exactly where and what that issue is.

I’m sure these cats will give up eventually and have already planned for that as regular maintenance for I’ve seen this at the track a lot over time. They will break down due to the stress. Usually I love test pipes but to loud on this car. There’s one member on here who tracks a lot and he’s had his stock cat replaced twice already. I eventually will go ceramic in time. If the motor lets go several things will be addressed. Even if it lets go within the three year warranty I’ll probably still just go straight with a built motor. But I feel good about my car and hope it will last just a little longer than that.

Just had to order some rotors also. Got about 16-18 track days out of those. Not to bad for this heavy car. But the next pair should last longer. Gotten better with my brake technique.

You're using a Bluetooth logger and getting decent sample rate? How do you like it?

Yes, BlueDriver. Reads every 1/2 second. Like to have a Aim device for data and overlay. I can’t get the GM PI toolbox software to load.

Here’s some ok pics. Sorry for not showing whole rear of the intake in all the gold foil.

Here’s the Kevlar 24” sock. Pretty tough. Little pain to get on. Doesn’t want to stretch easy but it can be forced.

More shielding at the first section on the exhaust.

Rear lower valence removed. It was turning yellow and was getting a little brittle. Track heat was tell on a lot of things.

Hope so.

This intake made a deeper tone at idle and accelerations. Sounds really good. Wasn’t expecting that. There is defiantly a better throttle response and believe or it it feels smoother across the range. I did flip my throttle body based on a issue I, others, and Lingenfilter was having and this was their findings to help solve a turbulence issue at the track under certain conditions. So that and maybe the combined mods helped. Only did a 10 minute drive. But it feels a lot better. Just a hair of extra pep. Wife even notice how smoother it was.

My mini cat O2 extensions is slightly rubbing on the metal plate off the Halltech. It’s just closer. Order the 90° version to see if that will work to clear it up. If not. A little trimming will help.

Great read guys. My SOUL system (ARH, SOUL high flow cats, SOUL valved exhaust) ordered. Was contemplating ceramic coating or Jet Hot Coating (same thing?) based on this thread. Didn’t know you could do cats. Just seems like great insurance if heat is an issue already in OEM form.

Haven’t researched the intakes yet.
