Blown Engine
I have had my 22 HTC since mid may and it has approx 2k miles on it. After taking delivery and driving home, around the 125 mile mark the low oil pressure warning came on and the car shut down. A short while later the car started without issue, oil pressure was good and so the vehicle was taken to local dealer. Next day the GM tech looked over the vehicle, could not replicate the problem, they documented the service and nothing else was done.
No further issues with the vehicle until last Thursday, when I was driving at a low speed, heard loud noise from the rear of the vehicle, low oil pressure warning came on, vehicle shut down. Once stopped, large amount of smoke coming from the rear of the vehicle, oil everywhere!!
Won't bore everyone with the nightmare of where I was or the ordeal it was to get the vehicle towed to dealer...next day it was looked over and that's when I was told "there was a hole in the block and the engine needs to be replaced". I was told there was no write up or work order generated, only a list of parts that need to be ordered. This was all done over the phone, as I could not get to the dealer on Friday.
I found it odd that there would not be a work order and something documenting what was going on, and will be at the dealer first thing Tuesday morning. My concern is that they are not going to replace the engine and will try to repair it, also what other damage may have been done the car when the engine blew. I am not knowledgeable when it comes to the tech/mechanical side of cars and have no idea what else could be affected...
Also....what does this do insofar as the value of the vehicle? I am beyond frustrated/angry that a vehicle like this that is less than two months old would have this happen, and will now go without the use of the car for what I am being told 4-6 weeks. Being that I am in a cold weather state, its likely I won't have the car for a good amount of a time where I can drive the car.
Thanks in advance for any insight

The engine replacement will likely show on CarFax but I don't know how much of impact on value this will have. A replaced engine can be as good as new or lead to more headaches depending on the dealer doing the job.
I also like to hit the mountain roads so that means a lot of high revving , hanging by redline to max the eLSD etc
I noticed during heavy driving the car eats oil , and eventually the level hit below the bottom hole. I had to add around 1/2 qt to bring it back to the middle and have been watching it ever since. PSI still never goes above 32 though so might just be my DA conditions.
This is the same behavior on my previous Coyote 5.0 and especially the GT350 5.2L FPC voodoo I owned for 6 yrs before my C8. High performance cars eat oil and they need to be checked/added every 1-2 weeks, just the name of the game.
