Who has the most? Intake, exhaust, porting, cam, tune? What is possible? Is the 560 from LPE real?
Nobody knows who has the most. All the cars putting down fast times have some degree or another of weight reduction.
No cams and no tunes yet.
Anything is 'possible' with enough money. Just buy a Z06 if cost is no object.
Bolt-ons claiming 560hp. LoL
Just enjoy the car for the great bargain and great driving car it is. If you are chasing dyno numbers or quarter mile times, you could go buy any number of other platforms (particulalry of the forced induction variety) that will get you what you crave. You could throw the whole gamut of bolt on stuff at a C8 to the tune of anywhere from $5000 to $15000 and still only have a car that makes 10-20hp over stock. The inability to tune the cars is frustrating as everyone wants to do internals and get a 550+hp car but I think we are missing the fact that GM built a hell of a car at 495hp from the factory. I used to modify every car I owned but I've just learned over the years to just buy what you want from the factory to start with. If I simply had to have a factory 10-second car that could rip off 0-60 in 2.5s all day long, I'd just go buy 911 Turbo and be done with it.
Ported heads
Port injection
Ported Intake Manifold
Throttle Body
Air Intake
LTHs
NO TUNE
Not exactly a bolton car because you have to drop the motor for the heads, but nonetheless, with FI being so expensive on the C8 it’s not a bad alternative.

I appreciate your POV, but there’s definitely relevant power to be made with boltons. Pretty early on people were running mid 10s @127-129 with headers, ported intake, drop in filter plus drag pack. That’s a pretty significant difference over stock and not a huge investment.
Beyond this level, I agree with you. This is not a good platform for modifications. There’s some seriously disappointing results in the FI section to demonstrate this fact. People investing $30k with a blower and still only running in the mid 8s from 60-130. A Mustang GT or Camaro SS with a $7k blower will embarrass one. 😞
The fuel system, clutches and tuning limitations seriously handicap this car once you start modifying. So does the gearing, GM made the gearing PRECISELY for the stock HP levels. It has really aggressive gears from 1-4 to run a quick 1/4 and 0-60 then 5th is like 0.65 and it falls off a cliff. 🥲
Most of those gains are down to the drag packs those cars are running. Take the drag pack away and they are going to be running 10.9s at 125mph. A bone stock C8 will run 11 flat with a drag pack.
So many variables at play with making power at the drag strip ie DA, track prep, racer prep and experience...etc. There is a video circulating where they only swapped out a ported intake man. at the track, on the same day, and dropped ET by a 10th or so and increased trap speed. So, some mods do work. Another mod that works well are drag radials...

Yelp......same car that ran 10.90s a few weeks later in better air. That was Matt at Bradenton Motorsport Florida. Carlos Rios did the swap at the track.

Sure, a drag pack reduces ETs but I’m not sure about gaining 4mph with a drag pack.
There’s multiple guys on here who’ve done runs with and without a drag pack and seen a demonstrable increase in trap speeds with headers, TB and a ported intake manifold.
There’s also someone else running 10.1s@131mph N/A @ +1000 DA with a Peitz Performance DCM + FBO and e85. It won’t be long before that car is running 9s.

Besides light weight drag pack …. You guys can look up C8 drag brakes and the weights. WOW … that’s another mod that is awesome for NA bolt on cars. It’s not that expensive of a mod as I thought vs the cost of supercharging a car to go mid 10’s. Look it up.
