I changed the oil at 2200 miles last summer. The Vette was put away for the winter (about 6 months ago) with 4750 miles on it. I started it up today and with eh 4750 miles on it but the oil data reads 'change oil' and 0 % left..... I was hoping to hold off until the required oil and tranny change in a couple of months. Any issues waiting? Thanks

You have to change the oil and filter when the oil life monitor tells you. Doesn't matter whether it was sitting or being driven - when the time is up you need to change the oil. As for the tranny, I assume you mean the transmission filter. That isn't a time thing. It's supposed to be done close to (but not over) 7500 miles. It is the free service supplied by GM that expires at 24 months.
Interesting..... my Chevrolet diagostic report for March states....... mileage 4750... oil life remaining 34%. I have not driven the Vette until May 3 and now it says 0% and change oil....... I had better contact Chevrolet.......... Thanks

As noted, its 1 year from the last change, or whenever the monitor says so. It accounts for time, but also for short trips, etc. several factors. It does assume you reset the monitor when the oil was changed.
If you changed the oil last summer - at 2200 miles - what month and day exaclty was it? It should not time out based on time until 12 full months since the monitor was reset. So, unless you changed it last may or earlier - it should not be at 0 just based on time alone. Based on mileage, you have traveled only 2550 miles since the last change. Its a bit unclear based on the data you provided, could be at zero because of the combination of low miles and time. I only drive 2500 miles a year, but time dominates mine. It get near 0 as 12 months approaches.

Are you positive the timer was reset last summer when you had your oil changed? Sounds like this was forgotten if you havent driven it and 6 months later when you took it out of storage was at 0%.
This... When I had mine changed last month they didn't reset mine.
