the coating on my ARH headers flaked off after 1/2 track day. I gave up on coating, I just wrapped them. Yep, the wrap will eventually mess up the stainless potentially, but I have not had an issue with the wrap yet.

And I was thinking of taking mine off to have them coated.... With my uncoated headers, my crushing temps on the highway stay around 174-178 when ambient temps are close to 100 degrees and no more than 217 in stop/go city traffic. My trunk area is not much hotter than when I had the OE headers. However, I would have had them coated if I had to do the install again. Ive had coated headers on previous vehicles that held up well under duress.
