Default C8 side intake trim

I’m about submit my build order to the dealer.
The only indecision point is whether to have the side intake trim vents (hockey sticks) in black or body color . ( This isn’t a color preference question)
Since I’m a DIYer I’m curious if those trim pieces are removable ,with necessary disassembly, I.e. bolt on/off , if I wanted to repaint them or even if I could order a set from GM in my color choice ?

They are fairly easy to remove. Not positive but I don't think they are available prepainted. I dig the side intakes in body color but HATE the rear vents in body color. The front stuff on the Stingray is take it or leave it in body color vs. carbon flash. Body color front looks awful on the Z06 and E-Ray the way the whole front becomes one color.

They’re an easy swap. I did it changing from body color to black. Took me about an hour for both sides

Body color smooths out the look of the car instead of chopping it up.

Not sure if this is accurate but it seems pretty helpful on what’s involved.
