I’m not sure why these are gaining so much popularity probably because they’re cheap and easy to do but they are absolutely not needed for US specification cars that do not have gas particulate filters.

I was looking at these for track use as my engine bay got extremely hot. thought these could help and yes of course would prefer the OEM style but not for $400. Maybe 3D printed would work as well if strong enough for track use. I really have no idea at this point though.

No... they blow air on a specific part that the us cars don't have. The engine bay an exhaust are already cooled by existing airflow. Even ZR1 with turbo chargers tucked down low doesn't require them.

Just because we have not been forced to have particulate filters yet. Does not mean they do not work. Just the fact that GM made them is all the proof we need.

That's literally not how it works... but you do you adding an extra part to your car because the internet said so.

Had installed the factory ones on my 2924 Z06, expecting to receive these units today for my 2026 ZR1. Interested in what I’ll see as to exact dimensions.

Since the 3D print files are free on Thingiverse thanks to a user upload, can anyone recommend a brick and mortar (chain) or online services that can print these things for cheap?

"They are installed as standard on German cars, because, Autobahn. They assist in cooling by directing air from under the car into the engine bay. In the US if you track a lot, they will help in cooling." I am quoting your post #7 FS (For Sale) C8 air deflectors - CorvetteForum - Chevrolet Corvette Forum Discussion
