I live in the northeast and the 2023 C8 will soon be tucked away during the winter months. Does anyone recommend using Stabil gas additive or should I be considering something else? Thanks for any insight!
I've used it with other vehilces, and no issues. I use about 120-150% of the recommended amount, just to be on the safe side. I run down the tank to below 1/4, then add sta-bil to a fresh tank of gas. After that, I usually run it for about 20 miles or so, just to facilitate mixing and to ensure that stabilized fuel is in the fuel lines.
It fine to use...but unnecessary with today's high-quality TopTier additive packages unless you're tucking the car away from more than 6+ months.
If you use Ethanol laced gas it will attract and maintain small amounts of H2O over extended time which can create rust on metal parts. Which is why so many car enthusiasts who seasonally store cars us the additive.
I've been using Star Tron for years and never had a fueling issue after storage. I think all of the products are basically the same. How I started using Star-Tron, I was at a Marina speaking with a few guys about storing their boats. They all said Star Tron.
Over the years more boaters I've spoken with said Star Tron was their choice for fuel additive for storing their boats. I figured if those guys were going with it, it must be pretty good, boaters are crazier than we are in regard to their prized possessions.

My Street Rod is now mostly goes to a few local car shows/yr. I fill the tank after every drive. When I get back home I add an amount of STA-BIL for the amount of gas used. So always have the specified amount in the tank. It's on a maintenance charger when not at a Show.
Unlike modern cars, my '34 Ford small tank (cars tubbed so custom stainless tank shortened) is vented. So moisture can enter. The 8.2 Liter with Currie Dif ratio and non OD trans gets <10 mpg when just cruising (at WOT can watch the gas gauge move .) So fill up all every time I drive. Been doing that for >20 years.
