C8 remotes do not work

My 2021 won't respond to either remote, and the batteries were changed. No response at all from either remote outside the vehicle. Using the physical key I open the door and by placing the fob in the cup holder the vehicle will start.

Anything I can do... other than take it to the dealer?

Ran diagnostics on it and it throws U0214-00 code - lost communication with remote functions

Read the Manual. Place key in rear cup holder to learn

Did that, vehicle starts but nothing past that. Code indicates it’s a connectivity problem between the remote module and ECU.

Didn’t find any recourse other than take it to the dealer.

if you bought batteries on Amazon or eBay, buy some locally!

Turned out to be a failed remote module in the vehicle. Dealer replaced it and reprogrammed the remotes under warranty.
