I am aware that there are other diagnostic devices available and insofar as a learning curve is concerned, this is a given. There are capabilities inherent in all of the equipment I have used and continue to use of which, I am not aware of. And that’s because I did not need to explore them to accomplish what I needed at the time.
The largest learning curve by far was and still is understanding the OEM ECM programming logic and how changing one or more or a group of calibrations affects the overall functioning process as it relates to powertrain control.

I just got my Bosch MDI 2 yesterday. I guess I am jumping in with both feet. The cost is about the same as one DCT flush at the dealer and GM tends to use the same interface for many years, so it will pay for itself over the long haul.
