Early Nov of 2023 I tried the Launch CRP919E. (Only works on C8 2023 models per their overseas customer support) It lists all the prompts for the HSF procedure but when I attempted, it does absolutely nothing.
I am surprised no one esle has attempted this since Nov. Saw a previous post about being a guinea pig for this procedure (Very True). I will be taking my car out of hibernation in a couple of weeks and will try HSF again with latest update.
Im curious if its worth the risk of getting a mdi 2 clone and trying to see if its compatible with tech2win and then also be able to check if any modules on the car need updating as well
Connected to my car with the Launch and tried running the hydraulic flush procedure. This is what I got:
I am not sure what the issue is. I sent this to Launch for their review.
Have you ever heard back from them? I've tried to perform the hydraulic flush with two different versions of Launch x431 Elite (CRP919E and CRP919EBT). After the scanners walked me through the steps of warming up the DCT and putting the car in Neutral, they both showed the same error message you got. It seems that all Launch scanner shows the hydraulic flush option in their updated menu but I haven't seen anyone report on the forum yet that it actually works.
I read the reviews on Amazon and one of the reviews said that Launch does not support units sold on Amazon, eBay, or online. They only support units sold through authorized dealers. What's up with that?

I have reached out to Launch multiple times sending a description of what happens along with screen shots of the error messages. I never heard back from anyone inside Launch. I gave up and bought an AC Delco MDI-2.

Were you able to perform a hydraulic system flush with the MDI-2?

Right now, I have my car in hibernation for the winter. Most likely though, I will connect to the car this week with the GM tech stuff, but I will not be able to actually run through anything until spring.
Downloaded, installed and updated the Global Diagnostics software on my laptop and installed the software on the MDI-2. Got it all up and running in about an hour and then connected to my car.
I will not have my car running until I am ready to take it out of hibernation, so I was not able to run the procedures.
Aside from the HSF, there a lot of diagnostic info you can get with the MDI-2 including datalogging and many reset and relearn procedures.
Another thing - ordered online through GM Tools, I was billed $1147.84. However, my account was, in reality, charged $883.62.
$69.68 total buys 72 hours of access to the software.
Inside the transmission control module
Under configuration/reset functions
Hydraulic system flush procedure. All 3 conditions' status red because the car is not running

Nothing to do with what you're doing but I find the subscription model to be of suspect ethics
I have no problem with a right to repair but I don't like it when people confuse "rights" with expecting someone else to subsidize what you want to do or expecting other people to go out of their way to allow you to do something you want to do.
GM makes the service manuals, maintenance/repair software, and tools available to the general public at the same price they are available to dealerships. If they lowered the cost to individuals then they would have to increase the cost to dealerships or get the money from somewhere else. So people not wanting to work on their own cars would be subsidizing those people that do. The money has to come from somewhere, this stuff isn't free. Sure, I prefer to work own my own vehicles but I don't expect GM to go out of its way to do it.
Hey yall, I have the CReader x431 Elite unit from Amazon as well. Unfortunately the GM 49.50 appears to have the ecu communication error (at least with a 2020) when it comes to doing the HSFP. Sent launchtech usa a email in regards to the issue and hopefully someone will respond.
If you haven't updated your GM or Chevrolet diagnostics pack to 49.50 and everything is still working I would say hold for now.
Any update news regarding using this CReader X431 Elite from Amazon for use on a 2020 for the HSFP? I've been following along this thread and was hoping someone with a 2020 has SUCESSFULLY been able to do the DCT Flush.
My buddy just ordered this same reader this morning as he needs to do an exhaust relearn on his AFM valves, and this unit was recommended to him from his Corsa Extreme exhaust seller...... we're both REALLY hoping it can be used for the DCT flush as well. I have a 2020, and he has a 2021.

Anyone with recent updates, please reply.....
thanks,
So far the only device that can perform the dct flush is the MDI 2 through Techline Connect. Once the third party devices figure it out they all will be able to.
