Default Adding 2 QTS Transmission Fluid

Any issues adding 2 QTS of transmission fluid to the car even when not tracking? It sounds like it can help smooth out shifts in manual mode? Mine is mostly very smooth, I drive almost 100% of the time in manual, but there are a few occasions where it's very slightly clunky.

I added the 2 extra liters mainly for tracking but have 4000 miles on mine now going into the first HPDE season. Lots of opinions on this. I have a 23. The late 23 model year and on don't need it as they made a case and pan change which negates the need. It won't hurt anything (maybe mileage a tad). I'm of the opinion that the extra dilutes the junk running around the DCT. I have no data other than the volume change to make this assertion. I'm also one that will change the DCT filter either every oil change or every other. Depending on how many track miles I put on it it'll be changed once a year along with the oil. My vote is yes.

Never mind, I have a late model 23' that has the redesigned pan so not required (I verified via VIN #). Thanks for the input, I should have done more research before posting.

For those cars that require it as part of track prep, GM says it can be left in for street use. So, for most, its harmless. But here is an interesting read about a case where a GM analysis indicated an issue caused by the track fill during sustained high speed driving (not to be confused with tracking).
