in my mind its the only proven hp gain of that size for that amount of cash. You could do full bolt on and spend 7k+ and still make less power. Its the first step in getting more for any future mods. It sucks but thats the "corvette tax" at the moment.

We all have felt since early 2021 that everything costs much more. Like Kracka says, it's primarily the "unlock fee" because they can. However, the tune and the parts also have risen the last 3.5 years.

With a tune delivering 50 to 60 hp/tq to the wheels versus a quality Cat Back costing 5K or more, a tune is the way to go. My preference is a 92% high flow thermal Cat and the stock performance valved thermal exhaust that delivers plenty of volume. With a tune the annoying AFM/V4 and cold start is deleted.

Spot On as usual. A Flex Fuel Tune is two separate tunes and adjusts depending on the given Ethanol and Petrolium mix.

Cicio is the closet tuner to me. Anyone have any experience with them? If I’m going to shell out 5K I really want to get it done right the first time.

They're legit. I'd absolutely trust my car with them.

I’ll probably go this route and be done. FI is just too stupidly expensive.

i would love to get an E85 tune but to ship the car gets way too expensive. I can see needing the car for custom tune but a stock LT2 with bolt ons? Stock cam too.

Very nice. I am a long time flex fuel user from other Chevy platforms but new to C8. Does our car have enough factory fuel system to run full e85 or will you have to mix to a certain max ethanol content, such as e50 or e60?

Yes the C8 has the factory system to run a full E85 with Flex Fuel. I run mine with many a bolt on. 484 hp on the rears after my FF Tune.

Is that with the Fuel Flex setup?

Agreed. In chatting with a local speed shop rep here, he told me the ECUs have to be physically modified to be able to accept a tune. Could it be as simple as installing a jumper or snipping a wire? Probably.

So, I'll save my pennies, go for a flex fuel tune, then finish with some lowering springs and a set of good wheels.
