I have a 2024 Stingray z51 with 800 miles. I noticed when I would exit the highway when slowing down the transmission would jerk. Kind of feels like the transmission down shifts too quick and then up shifts. Today it did this in traffic at low speed. My daughter even felt it riding with me. Is this normal. Also when parked the car today, I got a software up date to down load. Probably just coincidence.

Might be normal. It does downshift more aggressively than most other automatics, especially if you have engine/shift set to Sport or Track. It defaults to those setting in Sport and Track Driver mode, respectively, and can be set to one of those in Z-Driver mode. Where do you have your's set? Also, in any driver mode, if the car detects spirited driving, it will, for a period of time, shift more aggressively, though again its more aggressive about that in the sportier modes. And, you can elicit a downshift just with a rapid tap of the brakes under certain conditions. Experiment with it. If you want to read about it, search the manual for "driver influenced gear selection", "performance shift", and "performance transmission".

I do keep it in Sport or Track mode. I have Z mode set to the most aggressive settings. Thanks for the information. This makes sense, it doesn’t do it often, just when I drive it hard. I won’t take it dealership. I don’t want any issues with the car before I sell it. If anything shows up on a CarFax it’s hard to get rid of the car.

I am taking it to the Dealership Monday, it acted worst this evening. I really don’t want the CarFax showing transmission problem because I am trying to sell the car.

So one thing I noticed is that it tends to hard downshift into 1st coming off V4 when cruising in traffic in 2nd gear. when V4 is not engaged, the downshift from 2nd to 1st is seamless. I find myself using manual mode more in rush hour traffic.
