2024 C8 Window Indexing

2024 C8 Window Indexing
I have read and re-read the instruction manual, and tried to re-index my windows: Close window, continue to hold up button for several seconds, open window, continue to hold down tab for several seconds, all to no avail.
Is there something I am missing, something else I need to do ?

I am having difficulty in closing the driver side door. I have to really pull on it to close it, or slam it hard from outside when closing. Looking at the glass when the door is open shows it is all the way up, which will make it bind against the rubber trim. I have tried to re-index with engine off, engine running, and no avail. Thought there may be something in the settings that would be preventing me from indexing properly.

I recently indexed my windows after installing a new battery as follows (per manual)
lower window part way
raise window and hold the button up for several seconds
lower window all the way down (I did not keep holding the button down)
