What are you planning to use the car for? Tires will cost more. wheels most certainly will cost more. Handling will degrade, most hard core track cars run 18" wheels. Up side you can choose color and style. For me I want the easiest to clean, No areas where I can't easily reach to clean. This is coming from some one that has 3 sets of wheels and tires. OEM all season original set, oem Z51 for auto cross, forged set with Michelin non run flat to look pretty, wider but still 19 and 20. Just did a decrease in wheel size to accommodate 275's on the front 18"x 9.5" fronts and 19"x11" on the rears. Better choice of rubber with a little more side wall
We’ve done a few setups with 21" wheels up front and 22" in the rear. Based on customer feedback, the handling and ride quality were slightly worse, though not significantly so—this is just for regular street driving. While the setup does look good, it requires very thin tires, which are much harder to find in stock compared to the OE 20/21 setup.
