This car is definitely not for everyone. Its LOUD, lowered, body kit, aftermarket wheels, carbon fiber scattered in the interior and trunk, high wing, pretty much every bolt on before FI, nitrous, etc. you get the picture. Either you love it or hate the car. I get it. I have yet to turn 50 so its perfect for me LOL

So before the weekend, I a K&N intake, Soler ported TB, Socal ported manifold, throttle controller, MBRP straight piped catback, and a nitrous kit not yet completed but jetted for 75hp. Car has always been fun. I like loud. I ordered me a set of circuit werks headers online because I couldnt pass up the deal. Wasnt sure of quality but took the dive. Installed over the weekend and put about 100 miles on the car. Normal driving and cruising its about the same, BUT when you feed her damn this car is loud. when it decelerates at high speed/rpm it pops a little which I like and just sounds more exotic imo which I was absolutely not expecting. I know this sounds silly but I was expecting it to be louder and sound more like a American muscle V8, but to me it sounds more like a Z06. It has a little whining/whistling from I assume the intake and porting, the rumble from the catback, and then toss in the headers and this girl is breathing. These headers have been sitting in my garage for months. @Kracka and I have been texting/talking the whole time and I was getting ready to fly his @ss out to Cali to help me install and decided to just take the plunge. Man why did I wait so long lol. I have a track day on the 18th and curious how the car will run. Right now my winter 20/21 setup with all seasons are on the car since it shares daily with Camaro, so I will swap back to my forged 19/20 setup with summer onlys to see how she goes. LOL At this point I am done with mods. I have no desire to FI, crack the case, or tune, so this is the best I get. Got to say, I have had quite a few Corvettes including Z06's, and a high HP C7 which I still have, but this C8 is my favorite. LOL

Glad you got it done! I'll still take that airfare, though! The thought and idea of the install is more daunting than doing the actual work. I loved the headers on my C8, as you know. If you weren't in CA, I'd say cats up next...

Thats funny Chris. While my buddy and I were doing the work he looked at me and said "Want me to deal with this honeycomb, hahaha. I had catless pipes but to be honest this car is loud enough and I dont want the smell. I am putting my headers back on the C7 and shipping it off to the tuner next week. You can come help with that one. LOL

Wrenching on the C7 sucks, there's no room and you gotta do it from the underside!
