I have searched the forum and still can't figure out what to do. I have a 2021 corvette bought in January of 2021. It now has 11,350 miles and I haven't had the transmission serviced yet. Do I need to just change the fluid or fluid and transmission filter?
I know I was supposed to have had it serviced between 7,000-8,000 miles but I was past that milage when I discovered this.
Thanks
Ummm, well you've missed 7000-8000 which is a filter change and you've blown by the 3 year service which is the fluid change. So I'd say at this point you need both services done.
Sounds like a life lesson to understand the maintenance requirements for things. Yes take it in ASAP or do it yourself and document it. Read your manual for other maintenance items too. If you have future DCT issues this could effect you ability to get warranty repair.
The best approach would be to not do it yourself but have "Genuine GM Service" complete both procedures. Not a guarantee against a warranty denial but at least something to stand on.
I plan to do the DCT filter yearly along with the yearly oil change. Once I'm in there is it isn't that much more work to go ahead and change the filter.
