I just go and 21 C8 Stingray LT2. It has no spoiler and looks naked to me. Its going to be mostly a track car for me.
I'm new to the C8 and don't know what the options are. Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Lee
I agree. Without a wing looks like something is missing.
The two most common rear wings are the factory Z51 (top picture) and the factory High Wing (bottom pic)
Both pictures are of my 2023. I think both had some changes in 2025.
Maybe someone can post some 2025 pics?
There’s also a GM Accesssory low wing. Bumper does NOT have to come off to install it. I paired it with an aftermarket rear diffuser for what I think is a unique look. Of course I also added an OEM front splitter too…

That looks alot like the stock spoiler on my 2025 Eray.

True, but GM released this spoiler waaay before ERAY or even Z06 came out…it’s one of the reasons I like it…looks like a low version of stock ERay or Z06 base spoiler…
Here are some downforce and drag numbers. For the C7 it comes from an Ask Tadge Forum Post. The 400 lbs of downforce was quoted by Tadge for BOTH the Low and High Wing. He said nothing about drag but generally a higher wing with the same angle of attack has less drag. This is per Google AI:
AI Overview A high rear car wing generally creates more downforce with slightly less drag compared to a low wing
because it operates in cleaner, higher-speed air. Placing a wing low to the car's body can interfere with the airflow, increasing drag and reducing the effectiveness of the downforce it generates.
Higher wings get cleaner air: A wing placed high above the car is in "clean air" that has not been disturbed by the rest of the car's body. This allows the wing to generate more downforce and be more efficient.
Higher wings can have less drag: While a higher wing can increase drag due to its size, placing it on a high mount can sometimes reduce the drag compared to a very low wing. This is because a low wing can interfere with the air flowing over the rear of the car, creating a large, turbulent low-pressure area that increases drag.
MY Note: So it's possible as both high and low C8 wing have the same downforce, the high wing may have less attack angle for less drag with the same downforce.
Several folks make wings for the C8 and quote downforce data. Paragon is usually pretty accurate on what data they supply.
This is their $400 Gurney Flap addition to the Z51 Low Wing. Data is presented with and without!
Bigger wings are usually better on the track. You may see an improvement in your lap times.
If the wing is too big, the drag can slow you down.
If you add a rear wing, the hard part is adding more splitter to the front so you don't end up with understeer.
The GM high wing is so flat it doesn't add much downforce.
On the street, you will never notice the difference.
FWIW, aerodynamics is very complex. It's NOT intuitive. That's why F1 pays big bucks to their aerodynamicists!
Here are a few more PICS:
This is a Link to a video where Tadge says downforce with low and high C8 wing are the same. Paragon provides downforce and drag data. Of interest, Paragon's Gurney Flap creates more downforce with less drag. A number of configurations are called a Gurney Flap. His initial use in 1970s Indy Car was very small.
Counter Vortex flow is what occurs between rear diffuser fences. Usually the more "fences" the higher downforce until they get too close!
Aero is NOT intuitive. Recall in a fluid flow class I was surprised to find that twin spotlights added to Hot Rods back in the day thinking with the rear bullet shape facing forward was LESS drag was actually MORE drag!

This is my favorite spoiler, I'd rather have that one than my wing.
