The Repealed EPA Act
Now that the EPA Act is repealed, do people who paid the $2600 Gas Guzzler Tax get a refund? Can we force dealerships to disable V4 mode?

You can already do both of those with a CarByte device. I have one and the V4 mode on my 23 SR is disabled.

GM Authority stated start/stop is universally hated and will go way soon due to the EPA act repeal.

A.I. says no.
For those in Calif, I hope this repeal has an effect to reduce state fees... CARB bureaucracy, smog checks, gas per gallon $1.30 tax, DMV add-ons, etc.

To bypass the auto start/stop function on a Corvette C8 (specifically 2026 E-Rays/ZR1s),
use the physical "A-Off" button, drive in Sport/Track modes, or install an aftermarket Autostop Eliminator. The most common, non-permanent method is pressing the button, while modules provide a permanent, plug-and-play solution.
Methods to Bypass Start/Stop in C8 Corvette:
Manual Button: Press the auto start-stop disable button (letter 'A' with a circular arrow and "off") on the center console or dash each time you start the car.
Driving Modes: Using Sport or Track mode typically disables the auto stop/start feature automatically.
"My Mode": Configuring "My Mode" to keep the system off can sometimes maintain this setting between ignition cycles.
Aftermarket Module (Best Permanent Fix): Install a module like the Autostop Eliminator, which plugs in and remembers to turn the system off automatically upon starting the car.
Negative Terminal Module: Some, such as the Smart Stop Start GM2, connect directly to the negative battery terminal to disable the function.

It's simple to disable, just drive in sport or track mode. In town I use sport mode, on the highway I use tour mode.
