communicated with Mike maybe a week or so ago. I speak with him every few weeks maybe a month or two goes by etc. What a great friend. I have been on the C8 "higher performing model corvette" list since June or July of 2019. rough guestimate he gave me without asking was expect to be able to order my car in around 6mos. which is more than fine with me.
At that time i was somewhere like 42 or 44 i'd have to check the email but even then he doesn't number the folders that was his guess back then.
Who knows? i will see him at Carlisle next week in my RENTED C8 because the dummy that I am sold my C7Z and figured i would wait the year then get my C8Z. 18mos later here i sit corvetteless with a reserved spot at carlisle

I received the same bad news from Mike. I have an August 2020 folder and with the slow roll out and (IMO) limited production vehicle I'm looking at 2 years maybe before my allocation comes up. FYI he said his Z06 folders started back in Jan 2015!

Just thought of a variable or sticking point that has allowed an unknown number of people to order and receive allocations before others who may have had their reservations in much earlier.... Those who may have submitted requests for a "Special VIN Number" and paid $5k upon acceptance by GM would explain a lot here... So, I'm wondering if Mike7671961 may have been one of those who's request was approved by GM?
