Initial dyno runs are complete, and the Z is torn down!

Any guesses on Stock WHP?

1 more thing. I'd love for you to develop packages.

Track package: New iron discs, pads, fluid, harness bar, belts, etc...
Track package 2: above + TI exhaust, lightweight battery

And please come with great expertise on the website. I hate searching for race seats and get 20 options of Sparcos, Recaros etc. I know some seats work well with the interior. I'd pay more pictures of actual fitment and copywrite - "great for guys 6-4 and above, more hip room than comp seats.

I' guessing right on the "corrected' stock numbers being NA.

One part to consider making would be a copy of the front splitter. If fabspeed or someone else could make one that costs considerably less than the $3k the OEM splitter costs, they would probably sell a lot of them. If that isn't a part fabspeed wants to make, perhaps work a deal with a company like ACS and let them make a mold of the splitter so they can make a replica.

My understanding is that Mike Ward is actually Unhandled Exceptions' twin brother, so stay tuned for potential engine problems. lol

Just burning the midnight oil. Fabspeed engineering team “Exhausted” but stoked. The Z06 is awesomeness …….big-block Ferrari 458 is an understatement.

Completed these tasks so far :
Dyno bone stock C8Z06
3D scan develop CAD model for HJS German racing catalytic converters - install and Dyno with stock Z06 catback valvetronic . Z06 engine really liked the high-flow cats. Pops , crackles, flames and overrun its an IMSA GTLM car.
Develop rear lightweight non valved “Supersport” system - completed . Dyno again with stock cats and HJS cats

working on valvetronic lightweight system. FYI C8Z06 exhaust valves get cherry bright red on the Dyno and open and close constantly via load dictated by throttle. No cheap Asian exhaust valves can take the heat. Tenneco USA quality!

working on NASCAR tri-Y headers with 625 Inconel heat shields. FYI- GM wrapped the insulated the OEM headers, catalytic converters and pipes to rear mufflers a lot more than regular C8 cars. Fabspeed Motorsport will go beyond their thermal management standards to ensure radiant heat doesn’t damage Z06 ancillary components. YOU cant run the exhaust or headers with no thermal retention.

Working on carbon and Cnc aluminum pieces.
Working on a Ferrari style LED steering wheel upgrade.

Car sounds and accelerates great and is beautiful ………..we truly believe GM underrated engine power. Its a monster. We have a Z07 equipped car. Its a beast. I want one ……trade a low mileage GT3 for a Z06 70th anniversary HTC.

Fabspeed motorsport usa worlds very 1st company to DYNO develop performance systems for the C8Z06. Development partners HJS Menden Germany, Helical UK, Burn stainless, Ametek,. Looking for development and resale partners JOE@FABSPEED.COM

3D laser scanning . Scanned everything developed models. Next week GT4RS.

Rear wheel 57pounds total. tire is the heavy component . Wheel so very lightweight. 21” by 13wide 345/21 Fred flint stone wide tire! CARBON WHEELS & MICHELIN CUP2 R TIRES this aint no regular corvette . This Z06 is a Nordschelfei Road America, Road Atlanta machine . IMSA should remove BOP and let her run WFO.

Notice support struts for rear Z07 wing structural support. Developing IMSA FIA GT swan neck spoiler up high too!

I had a suspicion that you were doing the development work on Streetspeed's Z06. The photo of the destroyed rear tire confirms it.

Yes the car is Mike’s fully loaded Z06 Z07 car.
Fabspeed Motorsport has provided HJS cats and tuning on Mikes multiple Lamborghini cars and other cars! Mikes the best.

A Ferrari 458 is a wonderful car and does everything extremely well. Its very well built sexy and fast for its period.

In comparison to much more modern cars with advanced technology and as the complete “package” the C8Z06 will destroy a Ferrari 458 in terms of all aspects of performance. That being said if you have a 458 or any vintage car I wouldn’t dispose of it because as every 5 years ALL new sports cars …….eclipse the previous generations performance. There is always as I tell my son a “bigger hammer” out there and on the way.

GUYS- I can’t believe what GM C8Z06 engineering has completed and delivered. The Z06 is incredible as our Fabspeed team has had the opportunity to absorb,, hearing, seeing, and see how cool and sexy this car is as delivered by Tadge and his guys.

The Z06 engine with titanium connecting rods in conjunction with a super light flat plane crank and light weight engine parts accelerates through the RPM band like a “badd-*** Stihl chainsaw” ……..DCT downshifts and upshifts Snap Crackle and POP with flames out the center 2 tips BONE STOCK and a lot more with the simple addition of HJS German 200 cell trimetallic triple wound and brazed racing cats.

Mikes Z06 makes way over 700HP. I personally believe GM powertrain understated the true power output from what we are witnessing. I was considering designing a GT1 style rear deck scoop to force cold air into the OEM airbox but i don't think guys will cut their cars decklid.

Michelin CUP2R - Z06 so wide almost did NOT fit on Dyno-jet rollers. This car is GM desired would blaze a 6’45sec time.

Dual electronic variable action exhaust valves

Z06 TRI Y headers. 2” 50mm primaries and then 2.25” 57mm secondary tubes. Mandrel bent hydro formed

Sounds epic from just the high-flow cat swap.

The cars are SAE certified and you have to dyno them in 5th which isn’t 1:1. Did you adjust your dyno?

GM tests these engines and has them SAE Certified. They cannot underrate them. An independent 3rd party randomly selects engines off the production line and they must dyno within 2% of the manufacturer's advertised hp to achieve SAE certification. Besides a dyno is just a tuning tool as I am sure you are aware given your line of work.

I'll admit, this is the only part that really caught my attention. From the factory, it looks like they already have Tri-Y headers. Is there anything stopping you guys from making the headers themselves from Inconel outside of price?

Second, there is a unique opportunity here with the engine placement and the exhaust location to come up with a rather unique 180-degree header design and really give it an absolutely wild exhaust note. Just saying.
