Personally don't care that she has an early car. Most large corps are scrambling to get connected with social media content providers, so this isn't a surprise... (funny that autonomous drive will certainly be a thing for that generation)
What does surprise me is that they have available to them, Randy fkn Pobst.... give him the dam car and put the world on notice..
Dont hate the player's....or the game....get off your *** and beat them at their game.....or sit back, let them play it and go about your day.
No jealously here, I say more power to her, the fact it infuriates boomers makes it even that much better. I just dont care for her content. Automotive youtube in general has gone to **** in the last few years.

Ok bro. I guess you think your being funny with that statement? Right. So I'm not a boomer and it does annoy me that a bring nothing to the table youtuber gets a car before others here. I guess that gives you a chuckle. That's cool.
When someone younger and more attractive comes along, her and all the other current YT influencers will be forgotten in lieu of their current fans who get better traction as they grow up. As long is this is a part-time gig for them who cares. If they're expecting to make a career out of it......fame............................ .....as they say........................is fleeting.
Im about the same age as Emelia and tried to watch her content few weeks ago.... Each and every video is so freakin C R I N G E its not even funny anymore. Its beyond comical is what that BS is. I can NOT believe GM is scraping the bottom of the barrel looking to save $3 by using Cringe Youtubers like that. You know what "they" say right?... Its never too late to make yourself look like an idiot. Thats especially true for GM nowadays.

It's not just GM that is pandering in cringe worthy ways to the younger generations...Take a look at some of the new Victoria Secret models...
Let’s refrain from attacking other members. IMO it’s sad the General caters to these “influencers” who do nothing to influence many of us.
Because “we” are not the target audience. We already have or are getting corvettes. We don’t need to be marketed to aside from hard facts about the vehicle straight from the horses mouth. Current influencers exist to get the next generation of buyers onboard with the brand. GM wants to appeal to younger audiences because that’s where the new money is as the current audience gets closer to post mortem.

IMO No. What GM has done is turn many of us they wrote off towards other cars with our “old” money.

You guys are using the terms new money and old money wrong; it has nothing to do with age.
"New money" = wealth earned by the person themselves.
"Old money" = unearned wealth, inherited from Daddy and Mommy.

Good question. Don’t want to derail the thread. Let’s just say I’ve always owned GM however my last two DD SUVS are not.
In the same note, I've never owned GM and this will be my first. Granted, I'm not swayed by the "influencers" as I don't care for any of their videos. Manufactured drama and sensationalism is annoying and the cancer that kills any good car show on TV.
GM will do what GM does as a corporate entity. I feel like the Z06 was a hall pass to the engineers to do one last great ICE project without as much oversight from the penny pinching department as usual. Hopefully this project puts GM on notice as they see what happens when you take chances...or at least their color department.

IMO, GM is just jumping on the social media bandwagon.. Soon you will see similarities with GM commercials and TikTok, content..
Woke millenials don't want to drive, they want the autonomous ride experience... Most of my nieces and nephews don't even want drivers licenses.. "we have uber, why pay for insurance?"
GM's target audience should be Gen X and Gen Z.. and we want lap times, drag times, lateral G's.... all the top drivers? yes, we want them testing on the most desirable tracks.. We have the disposable incomes to support GM's growth for the next 20-30+ years..
Millions of us out there can afford a z06... how many Amelia's are out there who can afford a z06?
The people who have time to sit in front of YouTube all day are 14 years old so that’s who the content is oriented towards
Just like the age group that put Countach posters on their wall back in the 80's. I wonder if when those came out there were people arguing about what adult Lamborghini buyer is going to put a poster of a car on his wall
