Default Im hoping the Z06 does not need a 2 quart transmission fill

I just got done with a 2 quart transmission fill on my z51 C8. I am assuming the Z06 will have enough transmission fluid to take to the track?

Also with it's 5W-50 oil, no need to change for the track and back for the street. It will be interesting when the new M1 for the C8Z will be available for retail. I checked yesterday and none appeared to be available. I presume it will need to be DexosR oil.

In Carlisle I spoke with the GM engineer for the transmission and asked him that question and he said no. Doesn't need additional fill for track.

Yes, DexosR spec is for both the 0w40 and the 5w50 oils. Mobil 1 Supercar.

On the other hand, it's refreshing to have a thread that failed to mention the Plaid, GT3, or when the car will actually be available.

I don’t know why GM didn’t direct Tremec to incorporated some kind of dipstick for checking the transmission level.

Because engineers don’t add stuff just because. You fill to the side port drips like all the other manual trans before it.

The track overfill for the base car was a bandaid to fix an issue that came up during track testing. They fixed it for the Z06 trans by changing the sump design.

I don't have to use any petroleum products in my Tesla S, none, natta, and it will kill the Z06 in a 0-30, 0-60, 0-100 race. And its available now to buy versus watching GM completely bungle the launch of the Z06. And today I was offered 3, yes, 3 allocations for a GT3 but decided against it.

Cool story! What are the lap times on that 4,700lb Tesla of yours? Since you only care about straight line, I bet you would love a Dodge land yacht too!

the z06 will kill your tesla s on any road course, wait the Tesla can't even finish one single lap without the brakes over heating.

your tesla S is way over rated, nothing but hype. see for yourself and cry.

I had two Tesla's, the plaid was real fast, but after a sew weeks you find out it doesn't handle that well, doesn't stop that well, had no problems, they were build well, just boring after a few weeks, my 21' turbo s is a Tesla plaid killer, of course that takes a LOT more hp than the car comes stock with

Yet it's slower around the ring then the base C8. Enjoy burning that clean coal!

I have to ask, since you don't use any petroleum products in your Telsa, how is it holding up riding on just rims, that must be a very jarring ride?

Every time a Tesla laps at Road America, a Panda is born in China in a beautiful bamboo glade with strains of Vivaldi filtering softly through the leaves. It's simply beautiful.

Or its complete BS like the rest of the electric car lie.

Back to talking about fluids, discharge and overfilling.
