Dragy - 2024 C8 Z06 HTC vs 2015 Porsche 911 Turbo S
I got a chance to run the 1/8th on an unprepped street surface with my 2024 C8 Z06 HTC.
Tire pressures at time of run were up to 35lbs, not ideal, but they were 30lbs when cold in the morning.
Fuel was under 1/2 tank and outside temp was 57 degrees, not ideal for the summer rubber.
The result was a disappointing 1.97 60' (the best it has ever done was a 1.88) leading to a 7.22@104.3 1/8th.
This would equate to a 11.11@130-131 1/4 according to my calculations.
This should give you an idea of how a C8Z runs on the street.
In comparison my lightly modded (tune and exhaust) 2015 Porsche 911 Turbo S making 543whp on the same unprepped street in 37 degree weather cut a 1.61 60' leading to a 6.82@102.89 1/8th in 37 degree weather on all-season rubber.
Tough to beat AWD on the street, but as you can see, the Porsche is quicker, but the C8Z is faster.
I would expect the E-ray to run similar to the Porsche on the street, maybe a little slower.

Results not terribly surprising with a Z06 on Summer tires in 57 degrees vs the Porsche on all season tires, w/ AWD. Love to see the Z’s numbers in warmer conditions.

20& colder on a turbo car makes a lot of difference.
How was your launch control set up for the Z06 run? Play around with custom settings. On unprepp'd surfaces, I usually find 4000 launch with 12-15% slip works best but your results may vary.

I used launch control in auto mode, drive mode was sport.
The Porsche is a street animal.
The C8Z is more fun to drive.
I didn't buy the Z for racing, I bought it for the sound of that amazing engine otherwise I would have bough the E-ray, but I had a C8 Z51 and the sound did nothing for me until I added AWE Track exhaust, but then it was ridiculously loud.
The C8Z is the best sounding car I have ever driven.
