Review of ACS Rock/Splash guards for C8 Z06 & Eray
Received my ACS rock/splash guards today and managed to get them on between rain showers.
Completely satisfied with them. The fit and finish is absolutely OEM quality (or better) in every way.
I didn’t take any installation photos because the ACS YouTube video covers the installation completely.
I chose to remove the rear wheels for easier installation/access, and to take out any chance of damaging my paint or the product.
On the fronts, I didn’t even need to turn the wheels, nor did I need trim removal tool. They popped right off easily and the new ones popped right on.
Packing is as good as you could ask for. As is everything else I’ve ever ordered from ACS.
Triple packing protection.
Front (OEM left and ACS right) prior to installation. The clips are provided and pre-installed, and appear to be the same, or the same quality clips as the OEM ones.
The rear prior to installation. It does state it’s made in Canada, but that beats buying from an adversarial country. IMO
Installation completed.
I am 100% satisfied with the product quality, fitment, and appearance, and I’m satisfied that they will also provide significant paint protection as well.

Yeah, the price stings, and if they weren’t perfect I wouldn’t be happy.
They look really good, I’m impressed and glad I waited for these and didn’t settle for an inferior product.

Thx for sharing…I had planned on ordering until I saw the price. I have time to debate as my build (which appears to be identical to yours) has a TPW the Ned of the month. Are the calipers factory or did you have them coated? I didn’t sowing for CCB’s so couldn’t order the orange calipers. Deeply disappointed but will likely have them powder coated.
My calipers are the factory orange ones. I wanted CCB’s so they were just a little more.
Regardless of brands, I highly recommend putting rock guards on. The sticky wide tires throw rocks pretty bad. I chose these because I think they offer the best protection out of what’s currently available as well as look good aesthetically.

I too installed front & rear ACS rock guards. Fit and finish and overall quality is very good. The ACS guards extend down offering protection to the lower panels.

those photos show the why i ordered the ACS . They hang lower than the others.
I wonder if those small holes on the inner screen are a bit air restrictive? I figure GM put that opening there for a reason.
I guess i have the option of not using the small screen.

From what I understand, the rear wheel vent is there to equalize pressure at high speeds and not have the air get trapped in the wheel well trying to lift the car up. The screens shouldn’t cause an issue.

No argument the ACS guards are both first class and the best offered. That said, they're just splash guards, and to me, I can't justify the $$$ for what they are. The Z06 tax is what drives all of this stuff, I put GM splash guards on my SR for $125 (front and rear), there is no more material used on these that fit a Z06. An additional $600 for ones that fit Z06 is just too much. I have the money, but I only spend it when the value exceeds the price.

While the ACS rear splash guards extend down further than the stock parts, they do not cover the width of the tire.
The rear tires still throw up a lot of rocks at the diffuser panel.
I'm waiting for some that add more protection across the entire width of the rear tires at a reasonable price.
For now I'll live with my PPF on the rear diffuser.

ACS must have been listening. Their rock guards are now available individually or as a set. It’s possible this was available previously and I just didn’t notice…but I’d swear they weren’t available individually even a few days ago.
The fronts are $179, on their own which is comparable to others (but still more expensive than my C8 Stingray guards). The rears are $450 alone, which is steep but isn’t surprising given the complexity of that mold. I just ordered the fronts and will evaluate if I need the rears.

Received my Z06 splash guards over a month ago from a new vendor. Was so new to them they were great and admitted they had not yet installed them on a Z yet. Same quality and with carbon flash finish as the ACS just a slight bit shorter so it doesn't stick downward as much. I like them as they suit the body lines a bit better. They must have had a marketing incentive at the time to introduce their new product - cost about $200 for all four. I think they are now $369. The $649 price is excessive for a few pieces of plastic. Almost like carbon fiber side mirror covers from Chevrolet at around $1,150 list price in comparison to the $200 set I purchased - identical and perfect from elsewhere.

Just installed mine yesterday I can say they pack these for shipping to be able to take a 10,000 foot fall and be ok.
Fit was great taking off the rear wheels makes installing the rears a piece of cake.
On finish they are great except I noticed both rears in the same place had these scratches on the inside of the guards so you can't really see them when installed. I tried buffing them out but couldn't you would need to sand them first.
