Didn't someone come up with an electric motor hide a plate that would put the plate under the car and you press a button and it comes up in the normal position.
Now that would be the funniest thing, "Your getting a ticket for no front plate" and you flick the button the plate comes up and you tell him you have a front plate go and look

^ ^ Yes, they really do exist. I've seen pictures of the unit installed, but it's more noticeable than I'd like (even when "hidden", you can clearly see the thing hanging there), so it's almost pointless. Might as well just stick the plate on.
