Good analysis Greg and Eshel ... Everyday driving does not prepare you for situations like this ... the panic reaction is to lift off, or even break ... not the right move ... look and stear where you want to go, while balancing the gas pedel.
I'm surprised autoX'ers don't do skid pad / car control exercises before getting out there and ripping it up.

Driver education replicating this scenario in a
Controlled environment should be mandatory, IMHO

This is the current issue with my car.. front wheels lock up and service active handling comes on
