The first and so far only time I put on Zaino, I had a bad time with it. Very hard to get all the streaks or blotches out of it. I was told that I probably put on way too much. In my case, I used Z2 with ZFX, new car with new paint and yes, used Dawn on the whole car first. Its been months since then and still shining good. I'm considering putting on another coat, but sure don't wish to spend many hours buffing it out again.

I'm going to use the Z5 with the ZFX. From what I read, 2oz should do the entire car. Maybe you did apply too much, `cause everyone says how easy it polishes off.
dgrant3830 I would definitely say that you put way too much on. You know you're getting it right when it looks like a very thin film of oil on the car. It can also take a bit to dry, even with the activator.
I do mine in complete sun to speed up the entire process. It takes about 40 minutes for me to do a coat of Z5 with a follow up of Z6
Key points;
--put it on very thin, almost to the point of not having anything on at all
--let it dry for at least 20 minutes, even with the activator
--follow up with Z6, or Z18 -if you still have some streaks, the detail spray will help to remove them
Oh, and it is terribly addictive, once you get the hang of it, you'll want to do 2 or 3 coats at a time!!

Go lite on the application!!!!!!!!!!!!! I used a one ounce mix and got three coats. A dime size drop whould do the entire hood. So far I have 6 coats and have used two oz of product. That's 3 wait a day and did the other three (with zfx).

2 oz will do the entire car, about six times, maybe more!
About 3 coats per ounce once you get the hang of it
I' been usin' Z2 + ZFX for about two years, polishing down and re-applying every 6-7 months, and the last time I got six coats out of 2 oz. and still had a small amount left.
I'll admit the first 2 oz I ever used didn't make it that far.
And yes, it works great on the glass roof, no baking or hazing or streaking or any a' that stuff.
I finally used up my first bottle of Z2 that I bought in 2001! 4 Corvettes and many many coats. (I also used Z5 occationally so it wasn't just Z2, but still the stuff goes a long way...)
As usual, great advice from the Corvette Forum pro's. I mixed a little over an ounce and had some left over after doing everything including the windshield, roof panel, door jams, and chrome wheels.
Unfortunately it's raining here and they are calling for showers all weekend. As soon as the weather breaks I'll take some photos and post them. Thanks again guys.

There is a simple way to deal with the "streaks and blotches" - with Zaino or any other wax. Let it sit for an hour or two after your first wipe down. Then get a micro-fiber cloth and get it wet, and ring it out as much as you can. Then, doing a section at a time, wipe it first with the damp cloth, then immediately with a dry cloth. The streaks will be gone with very little effort.
